How important the CHAIN OF SURVIVAL in BLS or (Basic Life Support)?

 The Chain of Survival depicts the critical actions required to treat life-threatening

emergencies, including heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and foreign body airway
obstruction. To increase the likelihood of surviving abrupt cardiac arrest, a series of
circumstances known as the "Chain of Survival" must take place. Cardiovascular arrest
victims have a far better chance of survival when each link in the Chain of Survival is
strong, despite the appallingly low survival rates. By the name itself, chain of survival,
there are links to be followed in order to save one’s life. This chain is far more important
than what you think as it will change the fate of the people in danger. Basic life support
provides you with the means to stop the problem from getting worse. In some
circumstances, a patient's condition will worsen if basic first aid is not administered right
away, frequently quickly. You can stabilize a patient until emergency medical personnel
come by being able to administer basic care. Having CPR training gives you the
knowledge, self-assurance, and skills you need to help someone in need while remaining
calm in the face of a medical emergency. By being prepared to intervene everywhere a
cardiac arrest occurs, those with CPR certification are ready to make a difference in their
community.
