COMPARATIVES
• When we talk about two things, we can "compare" them. We can
see if they are the same or different.

• We use comparative adjectives when talking about two things


(not three or more things).

There are two ways to make or to "form" a comparative adjective:


•short adjectives: add "-er"
•long adjectives: use "more"
THE EAGLE IS SMALLER
THAN A BEAR.
THE BEAR IS BIGGER THAN
AN EAGLE.
THE RACCOON IS SMALLER
THAN A MOOSE.
THE MOOSE IS BIGGER THAN
A RACCOON.
THE RABBIT IS SMALLER
THAN A FOX.
THEFOX IS BIGGER THAN A
RABBIT.
