METHODOLOGY

Research Design

The research study employed quantitative data gathering. On that premise, a survey was used as a

method of gathering data to dive deeper into the experiences of the involved students. The researchers

constructed 20 Survey Guide Questions (SGQs) pertaining to the factors that affected the students’ career

decision-making, the impacts of forced careers on their emotional well-being, their desired career path,

and their attitude and perceptions toward their situation. The survey was done online through the use of

Google Forms.

Source of Data

The study of this research will be conducted on the Senior High School Students of La Union

Christian Comprehensive College, School Year 2022-2023. It is composed of different strands, which

include Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), General Academic Strand (GAS), and

Technical Vocational Livelihood Track (TVL) students. There are 20 students to be our respondents for

this research. There are 9 boys and 11 girls, ranging in its age from 15 to 18 years old. They were given a

questionnaire form that contains personal information about the respondents and questions about the

research. The questionnaire was sent as a Universal Resource Link (URL) through messenger and email.

The questions contain and focus on how online games affect their studies, their health, and their life.

Instrumentation and Data Collection

Survey forms are the research tools employed in the study (checklist and identification). These

selected tools are utilized. Data are gathered to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of the research study

being conducted.

A structured shape that has a set of inquiries intended to elicit and elicit responses from

respondents. Researchers have a complete and ready-made list of inquiries.

The survey form's opening section will inquire about the responders' profiles. The researcher

created a profile-building tool that will ascertain your age, gender, religion, location, and other

fundamental details. This will enable them to prepare themselves to think critically and flexibly when

they respond to the survey. Short questions are provided along with the second section of the survey form.

The respondent will choose one from the options provided beneath each question, and react by examining

the checkmarks.
