*Explain what happens to Jack’s father and how it is related to

the cars.

Jack's father was a skilled mechanic who used to work on race cars. However, he had to
give up his passion due to a serious accident that left him injured and unable to continue
working on cars. Jack's father's love for cars and racing inspired Jack to pursue go-karting,
and he became passionate about the sport. However, as the story progresses, Jack's
father's injury becomes a hurdle in his son's journey. Sadly Jack’s father dies of cancer.

*What problem does not let Colin advance? What does he do to

overcome it?

Colin is initially portrayed as an arrogant and talented go-kart racer who is determined to win
at any cost. Colin's arrogance stems from his insecurity about his financial situation and his
father's expectations. Colin's father is a wealthy businessman who wants his son to become
a successful businessman like him. However, despite his talent, Colin's father refuses to
provide him with the financial support he needs to advance in the sport.

*What stereotype does Mandy face?

Mandy faces the stereotype of being a "tomboy" because of her love for go-kart racing and
her unconventional interests that don't align with the traditional feminine stereotype.

*What is resilience? How is it shown in the movie? Give examples:

The main character Jack struggles with the loss of his father and adjusting to a new school
and life in a new town. Despite facing these challenges, he shows resilience by persistently
pursuing his dream of becoming a go-kart racer and refusing to give up, even when faced
with setbacks and obstacles.

*How does Patrick influence Jack’s life?

Patrick serves as a mentor to Jack, teaching him the skills and techniques necessary to
become a successful go-kart racer. Patrick also encourages Jack to pursue his passion for
racing and pushes him to become a better racer by constantly challenging him to improve.

* Why fear can make us fail? What are your fears? How can you
overcome it?

When we are facing a situation, fear can make us fail in many ways. For example: We don't
try to do skydiving because we are afraid of falling or dying, fear prevents us from doing
some things. Personally I'm afraid of going too deep underwater, since I had an experience
in my childhood.
*Anger is dangerous. What occurs when Jack gets irated?

Jack was so mad because he crashed and failed the race, his anger made him say things he
regretted after, for example telling Colin and Mandy and his coach some offensive things, it
completely separated the team.
