LOCATION
The department sits on a sprawling 15,210–hectare
campus at the foot of a legendary dormant volcano
called Mount Makiling which rises at 1,090 meters
above sea level. The campus is located in the Nature
and Science City of Los Baños, 65 kms. south of
Manila. The land area includes a 4,244 –hectare forest
reserve which hosts over 2,000 species of flowering
plants and ferns, 120 bird species , 19 types of reptiles,
around 7,000 insect species and at least 50 species of
mammals.

Entrepreneurship
The Master of Management major in Agribusiness
Management and Entrepreneurship degree program is
envisioned to promote a shift from traditional agribusiness
undertakings to value-creating enterprises through
innovation at the MSME and corporate levels. It aims to
produce graduates who will invigorate the economy by
engaging in entrepreneurial ventures, creating jobs and
fueling the growth of the food and agribusiness system.
To be conferred with the degree, a student must complete
a total of 39 units which can be completed in two years.

Summer Program in Management
The Master of Management (MM) Summer Program is the
final admission requirement of applicants to the MM
Graduate Programs. After the applicants have
accomplished and submitted their application papers to
the UPLB Graduate School, their documents will be
evaluated and screened at the Department of
Agribusiness Management. Those who will pass the
preliminary screening will be provisionally admitted and
are required to attend and pass the MM Summer Program.
The Summer Program is a 5-weekend course (Friday
afternoons, Saturdays and Sundays) offering which is
regularly offered from the second weekend of April to the
second weekend of May. It consists of three modules:

An additional topic (The Basics of Agribusiness
Management) is offered to MM Agribusiness Management
majors. Participants who successfully passed the Summer
Program are recommended as regular graduate students
to the Graduate School. The MM Summer Program also
serves as a refresher course to participants who do not
intend to enter the graduate programs. These participants
may opt to attend any of or all the three modules.
