AREA OF SPECIALIZATION
➢ My interest lies on the domains of utilized indigenous clinical practice, conceptualized
Patient consultation in a cheerful and simplified manner, through their own words and
suggest approved and appropriate diet and supplements according to their requirements
through innovative methods, value addition, processing and identification of nutritional
values with portion sizing.
➢ Furthermore, on exploring the causes and functional consequences of micronutrient
deficiencies and methods for micronutrientenhancement in recipesfrom region
specifictraditional foods, food fortification and cost effective micronutrient
supplementation.
➢ My research focus will also be on nutrient composition of indigenous foods including
analysis of phytochemicals and other bioactive components. Nutritional epidemiology,
antioxidants andphytochemicals for food security.
➢ Community – based research involving both quantitative and qualitative research
techniques.
