Introduction

Budgeting is an important life skill that allows people to efficiently manage their
financial resources. Budgeting is especially important for students because they generally
have limited financial resources and many expenses to cover. The daily allowance, which
is the amount of money students get on a regular basis for personal needs, is an important
part of their overall budget. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of new
experiences and the social scene as a student, but it's equally important to think about
financial planning and budgeting. Balancing expenses such as tuition, housing, textbooks,
and food can be difficult, and it's easy to slip into debt or struggle to make ends meet
without careful planning and management.

On the other hand, saving as a student can also be challenging, but it’s an
important skill to develop early on in life. Students can benefit from developing a savings
plan, even if it’s just a small amount each month. Learning how to save money can help
students build healthy financial habits and set themselves up for success in the future.

In this context, it’s important for students to understand the value of money, how
to manage it efficiently, and how to balance their expenses while keeping an eye on their
long-term financial goals. In this way, students can make the most of their college
experience while also laying the groundwork for a healthy financial future.
Statement of the Problem

This research study aims to explore the budgeting practices of ABM senior high
school students in relation to their daily allowance. Specifically, the study seeks to
answer the following research questions:

1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:

1.1 age

1.2 gender

1.3 status

1.4 course; and

1.5 parent’s source of income?

2. How do ABM senior high school students budget their daily allowance?

3. What factors influence ABM senior high school students’ budgeting decisions
related to their daily allowance?

4. What are the challenges that ABM senior high school students face when
budgeting their daily allowance?

5. What strategies can be effective in helping ABM senior high school students
improve their budgeting practices related to their daily allowance?
Intervention

Budgeting intervention is an important tool for assisting kids in navigating these


problems and developing sound financial habits that will benefit them throughout their
lives. The purpose of student budgeting intervention is to offer them with the skills,
knowledge, and resources they need to take charge of their finances and achieve long-
term financial success.

huge increase in the number of students purchasing things through e-commerce
platforms. Online shopping has become a simple way for students to buy products and
services such as textbooks, apparel, and technology with the press of a button. With so
many options accessible, students' purchase behavior is influenced by a variety of factors,
one of the most essential being brand knowledge.

The degree to which people are familiar with a specific brand and perceive it as a
separate entity is referred to as brand awareness. It is a critical aspect in customer
decision-making and has the potential to dramatically influence their purchase habits.
Brand recognition is critical in recruiting and retaining customers in the context of online
stores. As a result, it is critical for online retailers to understand the relationship between
brand recognition and student purchasing behavior. Several studies have been conducted
to investigate the relationship between brand awareness and consumer behavior in
traditional retail environments. However, with the growing popularity of online buying, it
is necessary to explore the impact of brand knowledge on student purchase behavior in
online businesses.
Statement of the Problem

This study aims to fill this research gap by examining the relationship between
brand awareness and the purchasing behavior of students in online stores.

The objectives of this study are:

both of which are important factors in academic success.

Despite the potential challenges, some research suggests that working while
studying can improve academic performance. Working, for example, can give students a
sense of responsibility and motivation to succeed academically. It may also assist
students in developing time-management and organizational skills that will be useful in
their coursework.

Given the mixed results, more research on the relationship between working
students and academic achievement is required. This study aims to contribute to the
