Asia's most well-known airline businesses. They operate a huge global network of

flights both domestically and abroad. Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, and

Thailand are their five principal operational centres. We will break into AirAsia's

marketing strategy, marketing mix, SWOT analysis, social media presence, and

competitor analysis in the AirAsia case study. Let's learn a little more about the

company before we begin. In order to boost tourism and the local economy, AirAsia

Philippines, which has successfully operated flights to the city for the past 1.5 years,

is also Increasing the frequency of its flights to Zamboanga, which will be scheduled

Introduction

Low cost airline AirAsia, operated by AirAsia Berhad, is based in Malaysia (LCC). It is

an aviation business that specializes in offering air transportation services. Asia's

largest low-cost airline, AirAsia, is the pioneer and market leader in low-cost travel in

Asia. It operates scheduled domestic and international flights. The company Air Asia

was founded in 1993, and operations began on November 18, 1996. When AirAisa

was just starting up, the government-owned corporation DRB Hicom launched it.

Unfortunately, the terrorist assault on the World Trade Center on September 11,

2001, had a negative impact on the aviation industry and resulted in the largest

financial loss.

It was bought on December 2nd, 2001 by Tune Air Sdn Bhd, owned by former Time

Warner executive Tony Fernandez, who had a stunning turnaround and turned a

profit in 2002. By implementing and utilizing their IT resources, such as yield

management system (YMS), computer reservation system (CRS), and enterprise

resource planning system, AirAsia is the first airline in the region to fully utilize

ticketless travel and unassigned seats (ERP). These systems have been quite helpful

In their fields, such as when they developed their own website that allows users to

reserve seats online at a minimal cost.

Problem Encountered

1.Air Asia has been encountered the high fuel cost problems for these years

>Air Asia has made the decision to discontinue the lengthy route to Europe in order
to address this issue. However, Air Asia has chosen to increase short-haul routes that
are more lucrative, like those to Taipei, Perth, and China (Hassan, 2012)..
The choice made by Air Asia in response to this issue is essential in helping to solve
the loss-making long-haul flying issue. Since this choice was only put into action, it
remains to be seen if it was the right one.

2. Problem accesing online system

> The Airline want to go in any AirAsia sales counter near them or at the airport to
process the payment of their booking.

3. Online booking problem

>They suggest to use the diffeent web browser to make booking again for some
reason that the some browsers work better for booking in Air asia at the payment
stage.

Recommendation

For its early services, Airasia adopted a single-class, no-frills service model (Airasia

2012) . This meant that, unlike international airlines, Airasia did not offer meals,

entertainment, or other amenities to its passengers. Instead, their only concern was

charging passengers for the most basic air freight experience while keeping the

destination in mind. However, despite providing your juice ko services, they do not

skimp on customer service. Additionally standardized by customer-acceptable

criteria,

the goods sold on board. setting the most affordable, competitive ticket

pricing.Because Airasia frequently uses smaller airports, they may take advantage of

less parking, landing, and ground handling expenses. Because they typically have

even shorter runways than primary airports, secondary airports are less crowded and

use less fuel during takeoff, landing, and taxi. Since fuel costs are one of airasia's

major expenses, this cost-saving measure is advantageous. Secondary airports are

frequently located closer to urban areas, which attracts more travelers and expands

the potential customer base for the airline (Airasia 2012). Utilizing auxiliary airports

can increase revenue while lowering operating expenses. (2012, AirAsia)
