§ 1 Initial Considerations

1. These Regulations present the rules, scope and terms of use of the Intranet-BlueBoard internet portal,
available on blueboard.ies-warsaw.pl, hereinafter referred to as the BlueBoard portal; as owned by the
International European School Sp. z o.o., hereinafter referred to as IES, with a registered office on 140 Wiertnicza
street, Warsaw, registered in the District Court of Warsaw, XIII Commercial Division KRS No. 0000110938,
running the school institutions of the International European Primary School Warsaw, the International European
Junior High School Warsaw and the International European High School Warsaw, hereinafter referred to as the
International European School Warsaw.

2. The BlueBoard portal is available for students, their parents or legal guardians, teachers, workers and
graduates of International European School in Warsaw, who have access to the portal’s account, hereinafter
referred to as the Users.

3. The user is obliged to use the BlueBoard portal in accordance with the Polish law, social norms and the rules
of netiquette described in this document, as well as the remaining regulations.

4. In order to use the BlueBoard portal it is necessary for the User to register, create an account and accept the
Regulations.

5. The use of particular functions of the BlueBoard portal can be given under the provisions of additional
regulations. If so, the use of a particular function shall depend on the acceptance of the appropriate additional
regulation by the User.

6. These Regulations are in accordance with The Act on Terms and Conditions of On-line Services of 18 July
2002.

§ 2. Terms used in the Regulations

1. User - a person owning an active account in the BlueBoard portal.

2. Login – the individual and unique name of the User, chosen during the registration on the BlueBoard portal.

3. Account - the space for registered Users on the BlueBoard portal available after logging in (providing a login
and a password).

4. Netiquette - the general rules of decent behaviour on the Internet, and on the BlueBoard portal as set out in this
document.

5. My Webpage - a space on the BlueBoard portal available on http://blueboard.ies-warsaw.pl/, where the User’s
webpage is presented.

6. Ban - a ban which prevents the User from using the BlueBoard, in case of breaking any of the Regulations.

§ 3. Technical specifications of access to the BlueBoard portal.

1. In order to use the BlueBoard portal, the following technical specifications are to be met:

1.1 At least 256 Kbit/s. capacity Internet connection.

1.2 Web browser- at least Mozilla Firefox 4.0, Chrome 10, Internet Explorer 8, Opera 10, or a different browser
compatible with the above-mentioned.
1.3 Operational system Windows 98 / Me / 2000 / XP / Vista / 7.

2. In case of the use of some parts of the BlueBoard portal, the following guidelines may have to be adhered to:
2.1. Turning on the Secure Socket Layer (so called ‘SSL’) in the search engine.

2.2. Installing the 2007 MS Office package, or a newer version.

2.3. Installing Adobe Reader or its equivalent in order to read “pdf” files.
3. The User incurs all costs connected with ensuring the technical specifications described in §3 of this document,
especially the costs of personal access to the Internet.

4. Between 00:00 – 03:00 the BlueBoard system may be unavailable due to updates being carried out.

§ 4. Registration of the User on the BlueBoard portal

1. To register, the User must correctly fill in the form available on http://www.ies-warsaw.pl, in the BlueBoard
bookmark.

2. When filling in the form, the User is obliged to provide true data. Providing false data may lead to the refusal of
registration, whereas a detection of false data after the registration will lead to the account being blocked
indefinitely.

3. The user is obliged to update personal data included in the registration form, in the case of this data changing.

4. By registering on the BlueBoard portal, the User gives his/her assent to the processing of his/her personal data
pursuant to the Act on Protection of Personal Data of 29 August 1997 and The Act on Terms and Conditions of
On-line Services of 18 July 2002, as amended, for the purposes of these Regulations.

5. By registering on the BlueBoard portal, the User gives his/her assent to the processing of his/her personal data
and their presentation (in accordance with options chosen) on the User’s profile.

6. The act of registration on the BlueBoard portal, which results in the opening of the account, means that the
User declares that he/she has read and become acquainted with the content of the Regulations.

7. After the correct registration on the BlueBoard, IES will, within 14 days at the latest, provide the User with the
password and login which enable the User to use the account as well as verify and modify data in the account.

§ 5. User’s account on the BlueBoard portal.

1. The User may have only one account on the BlueBoard portal.

2. On the BlueBoard portal the User has the possibility to:

2.1 - edit his/her personal webpage;

2.2 - use his/her personal mail box in the ies-warsaw.pl domain;

2.3 - view and download school materials available on the BlueBoard;

2.4 - view announcements published on the BlueBoard;

2.5 - view and download, for personal purposes, photos published in the galleries;

3. The user must not give his/her password to his/her account on the BlueBoard to any third parties.

4. It is forbidden to use the System of Private Messages on the BlueBoard portal, to send out advertisements of
products, services, commercial internet services or other information regarded as SPAM.

5. An account which is not used for more than 6 months since the last logon, can be removed without prior notice.

6. In case of breaking any of these Regulations by the User, the account might be blocked for good or temporarily
via the Ban system.

7. The user may demand the removal of his/her account by notifying the Administrator of the BlueBoard, who will
deal with the matter within 14 days. After removing the account it will not be possible to reopen it.

8. The account may only be used by the User. It is forbidden to open an account for several joint users.

9. Each new account must be activated by opening an e-mail message sent to the User’s email address and then
following the instructions.
§ 6. Ten rules of netiquette on the BlueBoard portal:

1. Do not publish or send out offensive or vulgar content.

2. Do not publish the same content or photos repeatedly.

3. Do not send out ‘chain letters’, unwanted links or SPAM.

4. Do not publish illegal or untrue information.

5. Do not spread viruses.

6. Do not send out e-mails to several people at once with their e-mail addresses visible.

7. Do not use software which might disturb the operation of other programmes or the operations of the BlueBoard.

8. If you are under age and you notice something disturbing on the BlueBoard portal or on the Internet, inform
your parents or a trusted adult. If you are an adult, in such a situation please notify the BlueBoard Administrator.

9. Read carefully and always follow the Regulations.

10. Do not feel offended by anyone and remember neither to offend others nor violate their dignity on the Internet
or on the BlueBoard portal.

§ 7. Materials published on the BlueBoard portal

1. All rights to pieces of work published on the BlueBoard portal or their fragments are reserved by IES, especially
textual, graphical and multimedia elements, as well as programming applications generating and operating web
pages of the BlueBoard portal.

2. In the case of posting on the BlueBoard portal content of any type, regardless of its characteristics, form of
publishing and intentions of the User, the User declares that:

2.1. he/she holds unlimited copyright and related rights to the materials sent, and that the materials do not violate
the law of third party particularly copyright and the related rights.

2.2. the people whose image and personal data are visible in the published material, gave the User their consent
to have them published on the BlueBoard portal and to include them in promotional and informative material.

2.3. The materials do not breach any generally applicable laws nor good manners. In particular, they do not
spread racial, ethnic or cultural hatred, nor do they slander or insult other people or discriminate against their
world-view, dignity or personal rights. They must not show pornographic content and their publication must not
include any acts of unfair competition.

3. The Administrator of the BlueBoard portal has the right to reduce or compress photos, films and other materials
published by the User without prior notice.

4. It is forbidden to publish illegal content on the Blueboard portal by the User. If, by official notification, IES is
informed of illegal content published by the User, IES has the right to prevent the User from accessing the above-
mentioned content. IES is not responsible towards the User in relation to the damages caused by the lack of
access to the illegal data. IES shall notify the User of the blocking of the illegal content.

5. The Administrator of BlueBoard portal has the right to remove, without prior notice, those materials published
by the User which are in conflict with the Regulations.

6. In the case of any claims towards IES from third parties related to the materials published on the BlueBoard
portal by the User, especially ones related to copyright infringement, related rights, infringement of personal rights
or unfair competition, the User shall exempt IES from any liability in the matter described and will cover any costs
which IES incurs in order to settle such claims.

§ 8. Liability
1. IES does not bear responsibility for the User or any third party for any damages related to the use of data on
the BlueBoard portal. Furthermore, IES is not to be held responsible in cases when the User is unable to use the
BlueBoard portal, regardless of the cause.

2. IES is not liable for the malfunctioning of devices of the User, and consequently for his/her being unable to use
the portal. IES is not to be held responsible if the User does follow the technical specifications, as mentioned in §
3 of the Regulations, or any losses to the User for this reason.

3. The User is obliged to protect his/her login and password. IES is not liable for any damages caused by the loss
of password or sharing it with third parties.

§ 9. Processing and protection of personal data

1. IES is the administrator of data which are processed in order to enable the use of particular functions of the
BlueBoard portal.

2. Personal data of the Users is collected in order to enable the Users to use the BlueBoard portal and to help IES
to contact the Users, as well as to enable all school institutions within IES to contact one another.

3. The User has the right to inspect his/her data and change them.

4. In cases described in article no.23.1, 23.4, 23.5 of the Act on Protection of Personal Data, the User has the
right to demand that IES ceases to process his/her personal data. His/her demand must be justified and sent to
IES in written form.

5. The User provides his/her personal data voluntarily, however if the User does not provide the data, he/she will
not be able to use BlueBoard portal.

§ 10. Final provisions

1. IES has the right to unilateral amendments of the Regulations. The amendments shall apply from the moment
of their publishing on the BlueBoard portal and every time the User accepts them while logging in.

2. The User may receive any notifications related to the BlueBoard portal via an e-mail message sent to the e-
mail address which the User provides while opening his/her account.

3. The Users may acquaint themselves with the content of the Regulations and possible amendments while
logging onto the BlueBoard portal or in the ‘Regulations’ bookmark. The Regulations published on the BlueBoard
portal may be downloaded and printed.

4. If the User does not accept new provisions of the Regulations, his/her account will be blocked. If, after a period
of 6 months, the new provisions are still not accepted, the account will be removed.

5. To all matters not settled by the Regulations, provisions of Polish law, especially those of the Civil Code,
Copyright Law, Act on Copyright and Related Rights and Act on Rendering Electronic Services, shall apply.
