Karel Gott

Karel Gott was a Czech famous singer who was well known all over the world
and who unfortunately died last year.

He was born in Pilsen in 1939 but he moved to Prague with his family when he
was 6 years old.

He began to work as an electrician but he was interested in music and singing.

In 1960 he decided to become a professional singer.

During his career he sang more than 2 000 songs, he sang not only in Czech, but
also in other languages.

He received many music awards during his life. For example he received 42
awards called „Zlatý slavík“.

I chose Karel Gott because he was a very nice person, who sang a lot of
beautiful songs.

Karel Gott had two daughters from previous relationships and two daughters
with his wife Ivana.

My favorite Karel´s song is the song called „Hearts do not go out“.

Karel sang this sad song with his daughter Charlotte before his death.

He passed away last year because of the cancer.
