Jesus take the wheel

By: Carrie Underwood

The story starts by saying “She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati on a snow white
Christmas Eve, Going home to see her mama and her daddy with the baby in the backseat”
While she was driving she started to slide on black ice, and couldn’t take it anymore cause she
can’t do it alone. “Jesus, take the wheel, Take it from my hands 'Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go, So give me one more chance, And save me from this road I'm on Jesus, take the
wheel.” As the story goes on she looks in the backseat to make sure her baby is okay and the
baby is hard asleep, she bows her head to pray thanking god about keeping and her baby safe.
She realized that she is not living her life the way she is supposed to and decided that she was
going to change. “She bowed her head to pray, She said, "I'm sorry for the way, I've been living
my life, I know I've got to change So from now on tonight” Saying that she is going to let jesus
take over for her and lead her into the right path she needs to be on.

The setting of this story is set on the highway on christmas eve near Cincinnati. A mother and
her child on their way to see family. The point of view of this story is told by the mother saying
that she is letting go and letting Jesus take the wheel to save her from the road that she is on.
The conflict of the story is that the mother has a lot to deal with on her plate right now and she
hit some ice in the road and starts to swerve and she said Jesus take the wheel from her. She is
saying that Jesus is going to help her.

The purpose of this story is to let everyone know that no matter what you are going through
Jesus is always going to be there for you no matter what happens to you. Even if you're not
going down the road he wants you to go down. He will help you out cause everything is possible
with Jesus. That if you just pray and ask him for help that he will help you.
