Rules for the Personification Competition 2023

1.The competition shall be held from 2 p.m. onwards, on the 16th of March,
2023 in the Moot Court Hall, UILS.
2. The participants should report by 10 a.m.
3. The time limit for the performance is 3. To 5 minutes. Marks shall be
deducted upon exceeding the time limit.
4. No obscene or unparliamentary language should be used.
5. Participants may use props, for which additional one minute shall be
provided for the arrangement of the same (only if the concerned participant
ask for such time prior to the beginning of the competition). No props shall be
arranged by the literary society.
5. The participants have to give a brief introduction of the person/character
they are going to personify, and the context of the particular speech that they
have chosen.
7. The participants have to bring alive the characters or historical figure by
recreating a scene from their lives or books of literature as the case may be
There’s no need to rote learn the speech or the dialogue.
8. Marks shall be awarded for language, stage presence, dramatic skills, and
overall presentation.
9. In all cases, the decision of the Judges shall be final.
