Respected members of the Selection panel, I am pursuing 5th Sem of B.A.LL.B.
(Hons.) from Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (M.P.). And as a law student, I need to do internships at different institutions to understand work behavior in different offices and governments for better professional training and general exposure. I understand that. The internship offered at the Delhi International Arbitration Center (DIAC) understands DIAC's goal of facilitating the parties to the dispute and encouraging the use of arbitration as the method of choice for resolving the dispute becomes important. I humbly believe that it is very beneficial to me. DIAC guarantees effective resolution of disputes through arbitration, and in the third year of a five-year law degree, there were many opportunities to learn, design and compete on various mediation and arbitration issues. I have a keen interest in Arbitration and Mediation and the aspect of it being effective for settlement of disputes and cost and time effective at the same time has intrigued me the most. I have good experience in legal research and writing and I gained much more experience in this field. Many issues could be entertained through arbitration with proper research and knowledge, and I am certain that I do not lack in this part. I manage effectively, I was a member of the organizing committee of Justice G.P. of the DNLU. Singh National Moot Court Competition, where I was responsible for managing several courtrooms as courtroom master and also participated in organizing DNLU's 1st R.K. Tankha Asian Parliamentary Debate Competition. My organizational skills have always helped me when needed, and over time I have gained more confidence. I understand the importance of teamwork among students who intern in such facilities. I have worked as a team in national moot and parliamentary debates. My thinking remains consistent with my team members, which is essential to minimize errors and maximize efficiency. I believe in collaborative work and good coordination within a team. DIAC is deemed as a secure, independent, transparent and professional institution, working here as an intern and learning in such a prestigious institution would help me hone my knowledge on Arbitration and Conciliation. I believe in a collaborative effort and good coordination between associates. While concluding this statement of motivation I would like to quote Mahatma Gandhi for his vantage on learning new things, he said – “Live as you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” As quoted, I am also a diligent worker and passionate about learning new things. I believe that my insatiable zeal to learn in this field, as well as my acquired skills, make me an ideal candidate for this internship. At last, I appreciate you considering my application for an internship under Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC).
