So I started asking people to pay.

I couldn't just do it as a charity forever.

And can I ask how much you charge?

Sure,

I charge £30 for a two hour service.

Most bikes need only this regular service.

I check the wheels,

the brakes and the gears.

Sometimes a bike needs more work,

so I let the person know it will cost more.

And do you have a place where you service the bikes?

Well,

my dad has a large garage at his friend's house in Enderby Road.

Is that e N d

ER B Y?

That's right.

Dad lets me use that whenever I've got bikes to fix.

He only uses it at weekends,

so I have the garage to myself most of the time.

And what plans do you have for the business in the next two

years or so?

Well,

I'd like to get my own garage and have another bike engineer working with

me,

but for now I'm quite happy doing it all myself.

Thanks for coming in and talking to us today,

Jim.

It's a pleasure
