Topic: The Wonder Tree Instructional Groupings: big groups,
small and individual

Standards:
A. Content Standard:
The learner demonstrates understanding of how Afro-Asian Literature and
other text types equip him/her with communication skills that lead to embracing
diverse cultural heritage.
B. Performance Standard:
The learner performs an interactive human exhibit of Afro-Asian literary
characters.
C. Learning Competence:
Point out the elements of a short story. (Literature)

Materials: ppt slides, laptop, tv, pictures, gift boxes

Overview: The students will unlock the elements of the Saudi Arabian Short Story:
The Wonder Tree through differentiated activities

OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:

1. Share one’s perspective on a given situation.


2. Guess meanings of words or expressions by noting keywords in
expression through Puzzles.
3. Infer ideas from the text.
4. Make predictions about the title of the selection.
5. Listen to note important details and infer character traits.
6. Perform differentiated activities.
A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES
