Describe what happened if heat is directly applied at the bottom of a test tube
containing liquid?

Heat is considered one of the most powerful form of energy, so if you are going to
apply directly at the bottom of the test tube even though test tubes today are made
of borosilicate that resistant to breakage from thermal shock it may expand the
heated liquid so quickly out of the test tube and can be possibly cause an accident,
but if you take the tongs or clamps to hold the test tube, change the angles of the
test tube like the test tube is slightly tilted and the heat is not directly applied at the
glass then the glass won’t break or explode and the liquid won’t rapidly expand the
heat out of the test tube. And don’t put too much liquid at the test tube.
