I am writing to express my interest in applying for the position of a lecturer in your great institution.
I hold a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Biochemistry. I have been a teacher for some years,
and I have taught both primary and 100 level students as biology lesson tutor. I believe that I would
be an excellent addition to your faculty because of my experience as well as my enthusiasm for
teaching. I believe that one of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect with students on a
personal level. I enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts by relating them to real-world
examples. I also enjoy working with students who are struggling in class. I feel that it is important
to help all students succeed, not just the ones who are naturally gifted in science.

In addition to my teaching skills, I am also a strong team player and implementing a successful
Biology curriculum. I am highly proficient in the use of Computer applications; (MS: Word,
PowerPoint, Excel and Google Apps). I assisted my lecturers in giving out quizzes, collection of
assignments and thorough proof reading of students’ projects after my graduation.

I am confident that I have the skills and experience to be an excellent teacher in your institution. I
