Last March 29,2023, CMDI celebrated the Women’s Month, in line with this is the
Women’s Month 2023 Talk Series or Sitcom with the topic “Safe in Tech, Innovation and
Cyberspace”

Dra. Alice Lacorte is one of the speakers, she is an IT professional. The talk
started with questions about who’s most likely to be held accountable in spreading of
suggestive/ nude photos, the one who sent the photo or the one who leaked it to others.
With Dra’s perspective as an IT Professional, she mentioned that everything we do on
social media, websites, or etc. will be one of our digital footprints.

She also talked about how some of us are more often carried away by the word
free, she explained to us that every free application, free websites, free links, or anything
free, the product is us, people. The system gathers our data and sells it to other people, it
can also be used by the hackers.

As one of the hosts or program facilitators that interviews Dra. I’ve learned a lot, I
am very inspired by everything she says.
