Task-1: ARC MAP Setting

i) Open Arc map.

ii) Go to Layer Properties.

iii) Click on “Coordinate System” and Select WGS_1984_UTM_Zone_43N or

WGS_1984_UTM_Zone_42N then click on “OK”.
Task-2: Creation of Geodatabase
Part-1
i) Click on “Catalog Window”.
ii) Access to drive “D or E”
iii) Select Folder like “District Sahiwal” & move to “Mouza Folder” like “87_489_CHAK NO
021+11-L_CHAK NO 026+11-L”

Part-2
i) Right Click on selected Mouza folder
ii) Click on “New” tab
iii) Press on “File Geodatabase”

iv) Select file geodatabase

v) Rename geodatabase into mouza name i.e ‘‘CHAK NO 026+11-L’’
Task-3: Creation of Grid
i) Select “Search Window”
ii) Enter “Grid Index”

iii) Tool Box will be appeared

iv) Set output path (Must belong to created geodatabase)
v) Enter Name as ‘‘Grid_CHAK NO 026+11-L’’

vi) Select input feature (raster or vector)

vii) Enter polygon width and length in Feet.
viii) After completion of tool “Grid Index”

Task-4: Open Portable Basemap Server

i) Open on “Portable Basemap Server v3.1”

ii) Click on “Basemap window” and run as administrator
iii) Select map from “Data Source Type=GoogleMapsImagery”
iv) Click on Start New Services and Copy to Clipboard

v) Move to catalog window & Press on “GIS Server”

vi) Click on “Add WMTS” Serve & paste copy linked in “URL”
vii) Click on “Get layers” and press on “OK”
viii) Now drag and drop into “Table of Content Window”.
Task-5: Grid adjustment
i) Grid adjustment with the help of Editor Window.
Task-6: Digitization
(1st Case)
i) Change projection into “Projection Karam” (like task-1)
ii) Check Mussavies from table of content.
iii) Select polygon and apply cut polygon tool.

iv) Right click on the corner of selected polygon and choose “length”
v) Enter length “18”and press enter.

vi) Snap on a point.

vii) Again, right click and enter length “40” (because acre measurement is 40X36)
viii) Double Click for cut polygon tool completion
ix) Now you can see cut polygons
(2nd Case)

i) Select Polygon and read measurements (i.e road was used 3 karam and external polygon
dimensions are 8,15,10 etc.)
ii) Firstly, cut road then move to next one polygon.

iii) Cut the road (like 1st case)

iv) Select polygon, choose cut polygon tool & click on an upper left corner.
v) Now right click & choose length option
vi) Enter length and snap on a point
vii) Now again double click on opposite side

viii) Select create feature tool and choose shape circle.

ix) Click on point (length 15 vertices) and create circle (radius-8)
x) Select polygon and pick cut polygon tool
xi) Click on lower left corner & right click for length 10
xii) Snap on a point & right click for length 15 vertices
xiii) Length 15 snap on a circle point & next snap to dimension 15.

xiv) Delete circle and merged extra created polygon into remaining part.
Task-7:Parcel to line tool
i) Choose tool “Parcel to line “from tool box
ii) Select current mouza grid as an input file.
iii) Set out put path in mouza geodatabase.

iv) Now you can see the measurement of a polygon

Note

i) At first, assign coordinate system to layers.

ii) Creation of Geodatabase
iii) Read the measurement of acre
iv) Correctly convert karam values into feet
v) In a regular shape, all side must be accurate.
vi) In case of in regular shape, one side is ignorable/compromise able (i.e shape contain more
than one diagonal side).
vii) Tolerance level in a diagonal length is 0.4 ( i.e the length 3.4 is acceptable ).
viii) For digitizing a mussavie having accurate measurements, take a start from middle of mouza
not from the boundary part. The errors may be moved towards boundary line instead of
middle of mouza.
ix) Must be checked adjacent mouza before boundary cutting.
x) Must be snaped adjacent boundaries with your mouza boundary with the help of trace,
reshape, cut polygon tools etc
xi) While adjusting one boundary, only adjust one mouza boundary at once.
