PLAN OF ACTIVITIES

● Prayer
● Checking of attendance, uniforms 5:45am–6:00am
and paraphernalia
● Overview of the area/nursing unit
● Receiving endorsements and 6:00am–6:30am
rounds, IV regulations
● Reorientation with the mission,
vision, philosophy and policies of the
institution
● Learn the SOP (Standard Operating
Procedure) in the unit and the
expectation from the affiliating
students
● Orientation and familiarization to the 6:30am-7:00am
physical set-up, personnel and staff
and their duties and responsibilities
● Floor unit tour
● Visit and observe area of assignment
and get acquainted with the physical
set up, staff and personnel
● Discuss different requirements and
evaluation checklist
● Assignment of patient to each
student nurse
● Browse the chart and understand the
arrangement of documents and 7:00am-7:30am
charting requirements
● Gather pertinent information about
the patient
● Note medications and time of
administration along with its
indications
● Nurse-patient interaction
● Taking, checking, and plotting of vital
signs as indicated for the patient
● Medication administration as needed
● Checking of patient’s IV level 7:30am-8:00am
