Assignment No. 2 – Types of business process management.

Differentiate the 3 types of Bpm.
Ans. 1. Integration-centric BPM
This type of BPM is used between existing software systems, such as
CRM, ERP and HRMS. It is also used when there is not much human
involvement. Such systems generally have API access and connectors to
make the processes move faster.
2. Document-centric BPM
This type of BPM is used when a document, such as a contract, is the
basis of the process. Document-centric BPM will enable things such as
formatting, verification, routing and getting documents signed.
3. Human-centric BPM
This type of BPM is used when the processes are done by humans.
Generally, such processes require employee approvals. In this case, the
process involves simple notifications and tracking, as well as a user-
friendly interface.
The primary purpose of document-centric BPM is to create a document after
several rounds of approval and input from others. A common use case is
creating a contract or a legal document. Integration-centric BPM is focused
on integrating company-wide business software with other department-
specific point solutions. It enables a smooth flow of data between the
network of tools. Any business process that requires human intervention is
human-centric BPM. Instead of completely automating steps with no ability
to make changes, human-centric BPM balances automation and human
intervention precisely.
