ADVANTAGES OF TRIKES OVER BIKES

1. Complexities and manufacturability :

Trikes have two wheels either at front or back. This feature makes the
cornerning slightly better at speed and offers more stability to resisting
cornering forces. The more weight distribution either at the front(Tadpole) or
back(Delta) is more so it provides better stability and control over steering and
braking . These have more compact structure as compared to a bike.

2. High speed :
Even though the steering geometry of these type of trikes is complicated but
best to ride hard and fast. If we give priority on stability, speed and braking
rather than maneuverability , tadpole trike is the best choice.

3. Stability :
since it has three wheels, it becomes very easy to balance and is very much
stable even at very low speed as compared to other human powered vehicle like
semi-recumbent bikes. They also provide better stability especially at high
speeds.

4.Comfort:
Trikes utilizes a seat that distributes the weight of the rider over a large area.
Greater weight distribution decreases the pressure that the rider might feel at
the bottom sitting on a smaller seat found on upright bikes.

5.Safety:
The increased stability of the third wheel has other benefits as well. Where
strong winds or the drafts of other motorists might have tipped a standard
motorcycle, a trike will be more likely to keep all wheels on the ground. The
rider is less likely to tip,fall or slide and because of the larger frame , the other
riders are able to see him making the safest human power vehicle.
