Hochschule Furtwangen University

The Hochschule Furtwangen University was founded in 1850 in


Furtwangen in Schwarzwald, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is a
Germany university for applied science. HFU is a leader in the
specialist areas of engineering, computer science, information
systems and management, business administration and engineering,
media, international business and health.

Programmes, Campus, and Residence (h3)
 It has 9 faculties each headed by a dean. Some of the popular
faculties are Computer Science, Mechanical and Medical
Engineering, Business Administration and Engineering.
 The Hochschule Furtwangen University has three campuses:
Furtwangen (main campus), Villingen-Schwenningen and
Tuttlingen.
 The International Centre of Furtwangen University normally
arranges accommodation for students who come to
Furtwangen University as part of an exchange programme.
 A variety of private accommodation facilities are available.
Students live in communal flats with other students and price
of the flats may vary between €200 and €350 per month.

For Bachelor’s Degree Programme:


 Winter semester* starts from 15th July.
 Summer semester starts from 15th January.

International Management, Precision Medicine

Admission requirement (h4)
 The university entrance qualification certificate and official
recognition of this certificate from the Centre for International
Students Constance.
 Proof of adequate German language proficiency (e.g. DSH, Test
DaF) must be submitted.
 Proof of financial means.
 Proof of valid medical insurance.
 German-speaking bachelor's programmes, language proficiency
at Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
(CEF) C1 level is required.
 A good command of the English language (minimum level of
CEF B1) is essential.

 DAAD STIBET Programme (only matriculated students may

 The STIBET combined scholarship and support programme
funded by the Federal Foreign Office aims to improve the
support of foreign students and doctoral candidates and
provides scholarships for this purpose.
