Zhoushan: Port Details

Anchorages

There are many anchorages with good holding ground capable of accommodating various size ships and able to shelter about 100 x 10,000DWT
vessels from typhoons. The main anchorage areas are:

Large vessel anchorage: Anchorage may be obtained NW of a rock (29°59.22'N 122°06.70'E), isolated danger buoy, for large vessels in depths
of 16-18m.
Yeyashan Inspection Anchorage: For vessels in the N, lies in Hengshui Yang off SW end of Zhoushan Dao (30°00.5'N 121°59.1'E); depths
20-30m.
Xiazhimen: Located 1.5nm NNE of Damao Dao, provides good anchorage, in depths of approx 20-30m, mud, tidal streams are not so strong and
set more regularly than mid channel.
Mashi Anchorages: These lie in or near Shenjiamen Nangangqu (29°54.8'N 122°16.5'E) and may be approached from S via Zhitou Yang, from
E via Fulimen Shuidao, or from W via Luotou Shuidao.

lightbuoys (special)
Dangerous Goods 2.5nm NE Depths about 10.0m; dangerous goods

Inspection and Pilotage 1.25nm SW Depths 25.0-61m, mud and sand
