Cowl: 24” circumference x 8” tall Hat
Hat: Adult Medium: 16” circumference (stretches to 24”), 8” Using US11 16” ndl and C2, CO 48 sts. Join, being careful
deep not to twist, and pm to show beg of rnd.
US10 / 6mm ndl, 24” circular Repeat rnds 6 and 7 for 18 more rnds. Repeat Rnd 7 once
US11 / 8mm ndl, 24” and 16” circular and dpn, or size to more.

Decrease rnd 2: With C2, *k3, CDD; rep from * to end of Cowl
rnd. 24 sts. Using US10 24” ndl and C1, CO 68 sts. Join, being careful not
to twist, and pm to show beg of rnd.
Next round: With C1, *k1, sl1 wyib; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnds 1-4: *K1, p1; rep from * to end of rnd.
Decrease rnd 3: With C2, *CDD, k1; rep from * to end of
rnd. 12 sts. Change to US11 24” ndl.
Make 4” pompom from both C1 and C2. Attach at top. Repeat rnds 1 and 2 for 19 rnds or until work measures
about 6” from CO edge, ending with Rnd 1.
Weave in ends. Cut C2 and change to US10.
FINISHING
Bind off with sewn bind-off method (we recommend seeing
Purl Soho’s tutorial), or bind off all sts knitwise.
