SIZE GAUGE
Width: 9” 24 sts and 34 rows = 4” in Stockinette Stitch
Length: 45” along r uching
Stockinette Stitch (over any number of sts)
MATERIALS Row 1: Knit.
Manos del Ur uguay MARINA (100% superwash merino; Row 2: Purl.
approx. 100g/874 yds), 1 sk. Shown in N6362 Vesuvio. Repeat these 2 rows for Stockinette Stitch.

US 6/4mm ndls, or size to obtain gauge


1 dpn in smaller size

INSTRUCTIONS
SC ARF
CO 54 sts.
Rows 1, 3, 5, and 7 (WS): Pur l.
Rows 2, 4, and 6: Knit.

Row 8: K12, turn wor k with WS facing; using dpn, pick up purl bumps of next 10 sts 6 rows below the row on the ndl. (See
image below for illustration.)

Turn wor k with RS facing. Hold dpn parallel to LH needle, with LH needle in front, (knit together 1 st from front ndl with 1
st from dpn) 10 times, knit to end of row. (See image below for illustration.)

Repeat rows 1–8 until piece measures 42” or desired length along r uching, ending with row 8.
Wor k rows 1 and 2 once more, then BO all sts purlwise.

FINISHING
Weave in ends. Wet scarf thoroughly, then squeeze to remove excess water ; do not wring. Lay scarf out to dr y, arranging
pleats evenly and unrolling edges.
