*Easily accessible if Military is the tertiary tree rather than the secondary tree, requires
sacrificing a labour generation building is Military is the secondary tree.

The Ice Miner


Requirements:
- Tertiary build tree = Industrial
- Outposts of Station = 2x Level 5 Mining Facilities
- Structure and System Card Slots* = ‘Miner’s Guild’ Mining Facility +50% harvest /
‘Repair Drones’ Mining Facility +1 harvest radius, -50% harvest
- Location of Station = near clusters of ice fields
*I would advise one of each for 2-radius Mining Facilities. You should be aiming for 900+
from each Mining Facility before augments. To achieve this with one of each, you need 360
ice in 2-radius. To achieve this with double Miner’s Guild you need 280 ice in 1-radius. To
achieve this with double Repair Drones you need 600 ice in 3-radius.

Niche Builds
The Exchange Students’ Mom credit: Jackisch
Requirements:
- Primary Build Tree = Domain
- Secondary Build Tree = Industrial
- Outpost of Station = Level 5 Habitation Dome
- Outpost of Station = Level 5 Trading Port
This is a great option for a starting station when you’re not happy with your spawn location. It
helps you support future stations farther away towards the edges of the sector (sorta like
shipping off your kids to some other country). The biggest advantage of this option is that in
the early game, you have the trading port to buff and balance out res generation on your
distant stations until they can support themselves. In the late game, you have a solid source
of labor with a level 5 hab dome, and extended claim radius (increasing your fleet cap). The
Exchange Students’ Mom is an all around flexible option for making the best out of a less
than ideal situation.

Recommended Extra Option 1, More Resources and Labour:


- Outposts of Station = 2x Level 5 Mining Facilities
- Structure and System Card Slots* = ‘Miner’s Guild’ Mining Facility +50% harvest /
‘Repair Drones’ Mining Facility +1 harvest radius, -50% harvest
Putting the Mining Facilities on resource generation might help more early on, but if you
place them to focus on labour the station is even more useful in the late game.

Recommended* Extra Option 2, Commerce Hub:


- Outpost of Station = Commerce Hub
- Two Permanent Station Card Slots = ‘Stock Exchange’ Commerce Hub +1 radius /
‘Entertainment Complex’ Commerce Hub +1 radius, -0.4 credit generation per
resource field
*This is only recommended if there is a spot with 15+ resource fields in the 3 radius of your
Commerce Hub.
