GROVE GCD20 CARRY DECK CRANE (18 Tonnes)

SUPERSTRUCTURE SPECIFICATION

Boom:
54.5 ft (16,6 m), four section full power boom w/ integral holding valve on telescope cylinder. Three
positions, pivoting boom nose.
15 ft (4,5 m) Swing away jib boom extension with down-haul ball. Stows on side of base boom
when not in use and swings into position. (6.25 USt (5,6 t) capacity, non-continuous rotation,
downhaul weight for single line application.)

Boom Elevation:
Twin double acting hydraulic cylinders, 0° to 80° with integral holding valves and mechanical angle
indicator.

Rated Capacity Limiter and Anti-Two Block System:

Hardwired Wylie i4300 rated capacity limiting system with audio-visual (buzzer/light) warning and function
cut-out. Color graphical display of boom length, load radius, boom angle, rated load, and calculated load.
Hardwired A2B system is low profile style with audio warning and auto control lock-out.

Operator's Station:
Chassis mounted cab shell with roof safety glass, suspension seat, dash mounted pilot operated control
levers, gauges for engine functions, tilt steering wheel, electric horn, fire extinguisher, sight level bubble,
seat belt, and DC electronics charging port.
Enclosed Cab Package:
Enclosed compartment with front, side, and rear window glass, windshield wiper and washer, two
piece door with sliding and swing out window, heater, and defroster and cab dome light.
Air conditioning

Swing:
360° continuous rotation, worm and gear drive on ball bearing swing circle.

Counterweight:
One-piece cast type bolted to the turntable.

Hydraulic System:
Load sensing variable displacement axial piston pump system, 37 gal (140 L) steel reservoir with external
sight level indicator.

Hoist:
Two speed planetary drive main hoist. Equal speed power up and down with automatic multi-disc brake.
Includes 3rd wrap indication with function cut out, a drum rotation indicator in the hoist joy stick control,
and hoist direction indicator light on dash board.

Wire Rope:
320 ft (97.5 m) of 9/16 inch (14 mm) diameter 6X19 class EEIPS, IWRC.

Hook Block:
Two sheave, "Quick Reeve" style hook block, 20USt (18mt) capacity.

Outriggers:
Hydraulic box/beam style at all four corners with integral check valves and integral steel outrigger pads.
Independent control of outriggers and outrigger motion alarm.
Outrigger position monitoring system

Engine:
Cummins QSF 3.8L (Tier III) 4-cylinder turbo charged water cooled diesel, 130 hp @ 2500 rpm. Torque
360 ft lb @ 1600 rpm. With air intake grid heater, 120V engine block heater, engine shutdown feature,
hour meter and air filter service indicator.

Axles:
Front: Drive/steer type with limited slip differential. Rear: Steer /non-drive (4X2 drive); rear axle oscillates
1.5°. Standard 2 wheel and 4 wheels coordinated and crab steering with electronic self-alignment.

Transmission:
Powershift, four speeds forward and four speeds reverse.

Brakes:
Four-wheel full hydraulic, internal multi-wet disc brake system with mechanically applied disc type parking
brake on front axle input shaft

Tires:
12.00 R20 tires
Spare tire and wheel x 1 nos

Lights:
Full lighting package includes front and rear chassis mounted work lights, rear tail lights, turn indicators,
brake, and hazard.
Auxiliary Lighting Package:
Includes amber strobe light and boom mounted work lights.

Miscellaneous Standard Equipment:

Non-skid deck surface, back up alarm, front and rear tie down lugs, dual side rear view mirrors, hook
