FIGHT AGAINST DRUGS

Today, we're here to talk about the fatal consumption of drugs and how it's destroying the
lives of our youth. But, before we begin, I'd like to give a brief speech on drug abuse in order to
educate our students on this sensitive subject.

Drugs, as we all know, are an illegal substance that some people drink, smoke, inject, or
eat for the mental and physical effects they produce. Several students use drugs for recreational
purposes or for other reasons. People who deal in drug sales form a network and primarily target
students in order to get them addicted to drugs. Initially, the drugs are given to the students for
free, and as they become addicted, they begin purchasing and consuming them. In fact, the
students eventually join their network and begin dealing with it.

It has been observed that students begin using drugs as a result of stress or unfair
expectations from their teachers and parents. Lack of emotional support and family dysfunction
make them vulnerable and increase their reliance on drugs. They use it to calm down their
agitated mental state. Aside from that, poverty drives some students to join the drug-selling and
dealing network in order to supplement their income. As a result, the drug-addicted students are
trapped in a vicious circle from which they appear to have no way out unless society intervenes.

Unfortunately, the students are unaware that drug use has serious consequences for their
physical and mental health, such as mental disorders, decreased intelligence, deadly diseases, and
premature death. When a person completely succumbs to the temptation of drugs, it is extremely
difficult for him or her to recover from its effects, except in drug rehabilitation centers where
they gain a new life at a high cost. In fact, there are many cases where rehabilitation centers fail
due to the patients' poor health.

As a result, I implore all students to abstain fully from drug use before it endsakes their
health, threatens their future, and claims their lives. Never even attempt to touch them or
approach them. Even an entire generation can be obliterated by drugs. So, behave wisely and
consider carefully. Create a future for yourself that looks promising and filled with success. The
pharmaceuticals that doctors recommend to their patients must only be taken to treat a specific
ailment; otherwise, the government must enact severe regulations to outlaw their unlawful
commerce in the market and protect our children from harm.

I want to end by emphasizing that drug misuse should be universally condemned. I

honestly hope that none of our students will ever attempt to take drugs or even try to do so. Do
not forget that you are the future and the harbinger of growth for our nation.

Thank You!
