The importance of technology in transportation in society:

In transportation-

because it allows people and goods to get to their destinations faster.

consumers alike valuable time and money.

now you can use Google maps to reach the destinations that you want to visit.

-invention of the karaoke machine in 1975.

Dado Banatao

-Diosdado P. Banatao (born May 23, 1946) is a Filipino entrepreneur and engineer working in the
high-tech industry, credited with having developed the first 10-Mbit Ethernet CMOS with silicon coupler
data-link control and transceiver chip, the first system logic chip set for IBM's PC-XT and the PC-AT, and
the local bus concept and the first Windows Graphics accelerator chip for personal computers.

Ramon Barba

- Ramon Barba developed a simple method for inducing early flowering in mango plants. His
invention, widely used today, revolutionized the Philippine mango industry, making the crop one of the
country's top export earners.

Daniel Dingel

-(1928–2010) was a Filipino engineer who claimed to have invented a "hydrogen reactor" that could
power a water-fuelled car.

Pedro Flores

-The first U.S. patent for a yo-yo like toy was issued in 1866, but it was not until 1928, that a Filipino
immigrant named Pedro Flores popularized the toy.

Francisco Quisumbing

-Francisco Quisumbing is said to be a Filipino botanist claimed to be the inventor of Quink ink used by
The Parker Pen Company. He studied in the Philippines and the US, gaining a BSc from the University of
the Philippines School of Agriculture, Los Baños in 1918 and an MSc in 1921.

Alexis Belonio
-who developed an innovative, clean-burning cooking stove fueled by rice husks. Rice-husk stove
technology has been around for decades. It allows users to transform inedible husks normally dumped
or burned after rice is milled into fuel.

Magdalena Villaruz

-Magdalena created a hand tractor with a concave “shell” that allowed the machine to float on top of
the mud and water of her farm's fields. This concept is a lot like the way a turtle's shell, filled with air,
provides buoyancy. Appropriately, Magdalena called her invention the “Turtle Power Tiller.”

Eulogio Tibay

-Eulogio Camacho Tibay (March 11, 1923 - November 19, 2001) was a Filipino inventor. He invented a
special screw which can withstand all kinds of motion and vibration, a corrugated plastic roofing
assembly, a cigarette filter and an amphibian vehicle.

Fernando Canon

-Canon's inventions included improvements to electrotherapeutic devices, a soap for lepers, and a
cane that doubled as a stun gun.

-Canon studied classical guitar with Francisco Tárrega in Spain. He became the first secretary of the
Conservatory of Music of the University of the Philippines when it was founded in 1916.
