TASK PERFORMANCE
Environmental Review

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Using your chosen organization in the earlier task performance, conduct an
environmental review. Simply fill in the project outline with the appropriate ratings. Then, provide a
general assessment of the company’s environmental performance. Justify your ratings for each business
area, supported by relevant environmental programs/initiatives of the organization (or lack thereof).
Lastly, provide recommendations to solve any identified key issues and help minimize the firm’s
environmental impacts. You may use the back of this activity sheet or additional sheets of paper as
needed.

General Assessment: (20 points)

Distribution and transportation, paper and packaging, raw materials, water, energy
and fuels, and stakeholder get the highest ratings. According to my information and
observations, they have an impact on the entire ecosystem. San Mig Corporation is
a huge and well-known company in the industry, but even if they followed the
rules in EMS, they would not notice that the environment is still affected, such as
energy and fuels, because they have a lot of products to offer, so they require more
energy and fuels for the technologies that they use in manufacturing.

Recommendation: (20 points)

As part of the sustainability strategy, it is crucial to encourage ethical

behavior that increases awareness among all parties involved in the
business. Once we have their input, we should involve our stakeholders in
our initiatives. We can do this by training employees, choosing suppliers
who share our commitment to the environment, and developing
promotional campaigns that encourage and reward customers for their
great actions in regards to the preservation of our planet.
