Introduction:

In modern world, organizations are facing different challenges for its smooth working.

The role of employees is crucial in the progress of any organization. Organizations invest in

human resource for maintaining their competitive advantage in business world and also for their

better future. Skilled and efficient workforce is the asset of any organization. Training programs

enhance the efficiency of employees. Training termed as any organized activity that increases

skill and efficiency in employees. Thompson (2021) defined training as the process of

transferring practical knowledge in the organization to enhance the performance and motivation

of employees. Progress after training program is quantifiable because it increases the

performance of employees and minimize the wastage of resources. Here we discussed some

benefits of organizational training program.

Enhance performance of employee

Organizational training programs facilitates employees to enhance their skills which

ultimately increases their efficiency and performance. These programs enhance the growth of

employees in all aspects. They make them proficient in their work. Performance of the

organization is directly depending upon the performance of employees. According to Bashir and

Jehanzeb (2013) success and the failure rely on the performance of the employees. So,

organizations financing large amount on training and development of employees.

Retention of employees

Learning environment of the organization attracts the employees. Retention rate of

employees increases when organizations conducted frequently training development programs

and refresher courses for their employees. The cost of recruitment also decreases with the help of

training programs.

Employee are more engaged towards their work when they learnt new technical skills. They

showed more loyalty for the organization in which they learnt continuously. Engaged and

Skilled workforce utilized the resources efficiently. They reduced the waste of time and

resources. So, the productivity of organization is increased. Regular training programs resulted in

skilled workforce (Thompson, 2022).

Less supervision

Employees learnt technical skills in training sessions. They easily handled critical

situations. So, they required less supervisions. Experienced workforce reduced the time wastage

in extra supervision.

Increased technology proficiency

Refresher courses increased the proficiency of employees regarding latest technology. Training

programs enable them to tackle issues related the latest technology.

As the employees are more skilled and proficient, they used the resources more

efficiently. They also avoid wastage in all type of work procedures. As the aim of training

sessions attract the top talented workforce. It helps in creating competitive advantage for the

organizational procedures simultaneously unchanged due to this reason. Top management

communicate the organizational policies with the help of training programs. So, the quality of

performance increased.

Work environment

Organizational training programs also creates environment in which employees

communicate their problems easily. Employees valued theses programs and their commitment

level also boost with training programs.

As the communication gap is decreased due to training programs. Employees understand

their duties and responsibilities. So, there are less chances of errors at workplace. Frequent

training programs also enhance the confidence level in employees.

Skilled and trained workforce maintained precautionary measures at workplace. They

followed safety rules to avoid any chance of accident. Experienced employees can easily avert

Organizational training program boosts the confidence level in employees. It enables

them to perform well in critical situation. Organizational training program increases the

motivational level in employees (Chen, 2014).

Stakeholders of training program

The persons who are directly affected by the working of an organization are the

stakeholders of that organization. As stated by Jennings (2022) a number of stakeholders in an

organization for training and development program. They included investors, top management,

corporate clients, learner, HR manager, instructor and also the end customer. According to

Labournet (2021) training and development has many stakeholders and they also have some

responsibilities and role regarding the progress of the organization. Learners' responsibility is to

learn, have strong sense of responsibility in learning process. Duty of the trainer is to ensure

convenient method for learner. Manager has to ensure that training will be useful to employees.

Executives and directors have a role that they invest in the future of employees and prioritizing

promotions from within.

Importance of training program in retention and motivation of employees

Employees of the organizations, conducted frequent training programs becomes more

committed. According to Chen (2019) organizational training programs is the fundamental

organizational strategy persuading the employee retention. But most of the employers viewed it

as expensive risk. Lorman team(2021) discussed the benefits of training and development

program including increasing employees engagement, retentions, mitigating risks, competitive

edge in market.

Employees valued the organizations, which are invested in their employees. Turnover of

employees in such organization is less as compared to the organizations which are reluctant to

invest in training programs. Turnover is very costly because experienced and skilled workforce is

the asset of the company (Herrity, 2022). High turnover of employees damages the reputation of

the organization. So, there is a need to increase the employee's motivation and engagement with

the help of organizational programs.
