Arrival at Lisbon’s airport at 2:50pm (I will pick you up and drop you at your hotel)

From the hotel to our 1 stop (“Palácio da Pena”) – 1h15m + transfer to the castle

Time to eat something! (we´ll be having lunch late): I’ll take care of snacks
From Palácio da Pena to our second stop (Quinta da Regaleira) – 10 minutes
From Cabo da Roca to where we’re having lunch (Casa da Guia) – 30 minutes
1:45pm: Lunch
After lunch (around 3pm) we’ll be driving to Belém while enjoying some views – 1 hour

4:00 pm: Visit Belém and eat some “pastéis de Belém” – 1 hour

Saint George Castle (must muuuusssst)
Wander around Alfama area
Wander around Bairro Alto area
Take the historic and well known Tram no.28 -> easy way to tourist around without
walking. Hop on at Martim Moniz(square) (beginning of the trip) and hop off at the
end, in “Campo de Ourique” (be aware of pickpocketers in this tram, they are quite
famous for robbing tourists, just ask Mark)
Where to eat:
Near the Castle: “Zambeze” (I went there with Mark to have dinner we loved it, highly
recommend)
Time Out Market (for many variety of food, super trendy place)
“Café de São Bento” - for very good steak
Pizzeria ZeroZero
“Os Cabaças” (typical portuguese)
“Palácio do Chiado” (fancy)

Coimbra is a Student city where the first university of Portugal was “born” and it is considered
a medieval town which is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Igreja de Santa Cruz (church) (where first Kings of Portugal are buried)
Sé Velha - Oldest Church
Pateo das Escolas
Mosteiro de Santa Clara-a-Velha

University of Coimbra
If you don't mind going a bit around try visiting QUINTA DAS LÁGRIMAS which is a very
mystical place with beautiful gardens.
Visit Guimarães.
What to do In Guimaraes:
Castle of Guimarães (1 of the 7 wonders of Portugal)
Paço dos Duques de Bragança
Largo da Oliveira and Nossa Senhora da Oliveira’s Church
Praça de Santiago
Walk in Rua de Santa Maria
Drive to Bom Jesus (historical sanctuary) and back (30 minutes)

Portuguese type of foods you should try while you are in Guimarães/Porto:
Caldo Verde - literally means Green Soup. I was told you couldn’t get something as Portuguese
as this hearty mixture of greens, potatoes, and sausage
Alheira - a kind of sausage that is made of poultry or game.
Arroz Malandrinho - a wet rice crammed with local prawns and monkfish in a fish broth, that
is more like a soup
Francesinha - a large Portuguese sandwich composed of layers of meat, topped with cheese,
and covered with a rich beer sauce.
Sweets: Pudim Abade, Bolo de Laranj and Toucinho do Céu.
Continue visiting Porto. It has a lot to see! -> Maybe keep the 6 Bridges Boat Tour for this day!
