1. What is your topic, and why did you choose it?

- So the study we conducted is all about examining the effects and physical
changes of the flower in a water with substances added such as coconut
vinegar and brown sugar. We chose this topic as the materials that are used
are not expensive and it was easy to find. Thus, we chose this topic because
we aimed to examine which of the techniques are more effective in prolonging
the shelf life of a chrysanthemum flower.

- The hypothesis we came up with is a null hypothesis, meaning that, we
expect that our results will have no significant difference in terms of
prolonging the shelf life using a substance with coconut vinegar and sugar.

- The result that we were expecting to find during the analysis is that there
would be no significant difference between the solutions. Yet, our analysis for
our data gathered says otherwise.

- Through this study, we’ve learned a lot by knowing that there are some
solutions that can help the cut flowers to prolong their life. Where the cut
flowers may last at least more than a week and it makes the flower fresh.

12. What are the recommendations from your study?


- There are some recommendations that can help you to be more
knowledgeable for prolonging the shelf life of a cut flower which is cold water.
Instead of using coconut vinegar, try to use lemon for your solution. Also
sugar is one of the best solutions to maintaining the life of a cut flower.

- The future scope of this study is to prove that there are solutions that can
maintain the life of a cut flower for more than a week. Also to give knowledge
of what will happen when they use these solutions.

- The significance of the conducted study involved people who are relevant to
this topic, such as the anthrophile whom this study can be beneficial for as
they can have more knowledge on how to preserve fresh flowers longer than
the usual. Secondly, for the florist, this study could help them to know what
solutions are effective to prolong the shelf life of a flower. And lastly, for the
future researchers, as this conducted study could help as a basis or reference
for their research.

- Florists are people who sell and arrange plants and cut flowers, therefore, this
conducted research could help florists with how they can use a solution that
could help them prolong their flowers in a longer period of time than before.

19. What is the significance of prolonging the shelf life of chrysanthemum flowers?
- Flowers have been special for humans, and they are seen as symbols of love,
appreciation, joy, innocence, and all things nice. And that being the case,
chrysanthemums are frequently utilized for a variety of occasions and it is also
used as ornaments. And with that, prolonging the shelf life of chrysanthemum
flowers could help their respective purposes with the flower.

20. How were you able to limit the extraneous variables?


- (extraneous variables meaning mga iban nga bagay nga naka affect sa inyo
experiment nga indi dapat maka affect kag dapat niyo ma control para sure
kamo na ang cause and effect dahil gid sa inyo solution, in short paano niyo
na contain ang mga sabad sabad sa experiment)
