We are bonafide Grade 12 STEM Viridine students from Cagayan National High School -
Senior High. Part of our requirement in the subjects Capstone Project and Inquiries,
Investigations, and Immersion (III) is to conduct experimental research.

The title of our study is “Hypoglycemic Property of Betel Nut (areca catechu) Husk Ethanolic
Extract on Alloxan-Induced Albino Mice” and we need to conduct the hypoglycemic
effectiveness of Betel nut husk ethanolic extract through T-Test analysis. analysis. Our study’s
specific objectives are the following:

1. What will be the mean blood glucose level of the Albino mice before and after the
administration of alloxan?
2. What will be the mean blood glucose level of Albino mice before and after the
administration of negative control (water), 50%, 75%, 100% betel nut husk ethanolic
extract, positive control (metformin)
