1.0 Proposed Title

Our proposed title is “The Continuous Poverty in the Philippines that Affect

the Lives of Filipino”

2.0 Area of Investigation

Poverty is the scarcity or lack of basic needs such as food, water, shelter,

as well as money. Despite its rapid and continuous decrease in the Philippines,

and governmental efforts to extirpate it, it is still a significant issue that persists in

the country. Over a quarter of the population (22 million out of 105 million

Filipinos) of the country dwells in poverty. This study aims to cover the vast

poverty in the Philippines that affect the lives of the Filipinos. The research will be

conducted in AMA Computer College Fairview.

3.0 Reasons for Choosing this Topic

The reason why the researchers chose this topic is because they want to

increase their idea on how poverty affect the lives of every Filipinos. They also

want to give awareness to the readers, especially the children, on what they can

do so that their future family will not experience it. Everyone knows that poverty

is one of the major problem in Philippines and it is right to know why it is a major

problem. What is poverty and why it is a problem? The researchers also want to

know the insights of the parents and students that they will interview for this

research incomes of poverty. How it affect their daily lives?

4.0 Importance of the Study

The importance of the study is to give awareness about how poverty affect

the lives of every Filipinos. Thus, research can provide us the information why is

a family experiencing poverty, why it happens and where does it came from. With

this study, the researchers and readers will get some idea on how reduce the
poverty rate in a country and what they can do to not experience it. This research

will provide information what are the factors of poverty.

5.0 Target Users/ Beneficiaries

The target users of this research are all students that will conduct

research for their thesis or term paper. This research can also be source of

teachers that teach economics subject. Additionally, the beneficiaries of this

research are the readers for them to increase their knowledge about poverty as

well as the future researcher who need these information as their reference.

6.0 Similarities of the Previous Study

The proposed study is somehow resembling with the study that made by

Philippine Normal University students entitled ECONOMICS. It discuss about

rapidly increasing of poverty in the Philippines, and also the reviews, the data

and investigation that undeniably, poor getting poor as times goes by.
