I.Objectives
CONTENT STANDARD The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts of sets and the real
number sytem.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD The learner is able to formulate challenging situations involving sets and real
numbers and solve these in a variety of strategies.
LEARNING COMPETENCY (NATIONAL) The learner describes well – defined sets, subsets, universal sets, and the null
set and cardinality of sets.
LEARNING COMPETENCY The learner describes well – defined sets, subsets, universal sets, and the null
(CONTEXTUALIZED) set and cardinality of set using different local information in the Municipality of
Maasin.

A. Pre - Activity Review the lesson on grouping using the game “The boat is Sinking”.

The Mathematics club of Maasin National Comprehensive High School
conducted a Survey about age bracket in Grade 7 students . The data shows

F. Application Maasin National Comprehensive High School Clinic is gathering
information of the students to make it easier for them to identify students
who are overweight and underweight in correspondence with their age
and height. Now, each student in a section are going to get their own
weight and height plus their body temperature.
What measuring instruments are they going to use?
