Easter Egg Hunt Lesson Plan Objectives and Goals

★ Goal One: By the week of Easter 2023, create and implement an Easter Egg Hunt Session

plan where Speech Pathology patients at SenseAbilities will be able to improve upon

their designated goals given to them during their evaluation by participating in this

activity.

★ The following objectives are specific to certain goals. It is up to the speech pathologist to

decide which cards to use based on the patient's goals at the moment in time.

○ Objective One: Of the patients working on articulation, 50% of them will be able

to pronounce a target word, phrase, or sentence 3-5 in a row, before moving on to

the next articulation egg.

i. Activity: Inside the eggs will be pictures of objects or actions associated

with the specific articulation.

○ Objective Two: Of patients working on articulation blends, 50% will be able to

pronounce target blend words, phrases, or sentences 3-5, in a row, before moving

on to the next articulation blend egg.

i. Activity: Inside the eggs will be pictures of objects or actions associated

with the specific articulation blend.

○ Objective Three: Of the patients working on auditory comprehension and

receptive or expressive language, 50% will be able to answer a Wh question


(Who, What, When, Where Why), after reading a story, before moving on to the

next egg.

i. Activity: Inside the eggs, there will be a picture and a story with questions

that the therapist will read to the patient or that the patient will read out

loud.

○ Objective Four: Of the patients working on following directions by using

receptive and expressive language, 50% will be able to complete directions given

to them inside the egg that corresponds with the correct number activity provided

on the laminated activity sheet.

i. Activity: Inside the eggs, there will be a piece of paper labeled 1-15 that

has directions that correspond with an activity on the provided laminated

activity sheet.

★ Goal Two: By the week of Easter 2023, create and implement an Easter Egg Hunt

Session plan where Occupational Therapy patients at SenseAbilities will be able to

improve upon their designated goals given to them during their evaluation, by

participating in this activity.

★ The following objectives are specific to certain goals. It is up to the occupational

therapist to decide which cards to use based on the patient's goals at the moment in time.

○ Objective One: Of the patients working on balance and body awareness, 60% of

them will be able to perform at least half of the yoga poses found in the eggs

accurately.
i. Activity: Inside the eggs will be different yoga positions ranging from east

to challenging so therapists can choose which levels to put in depending

on the patient's expertise level.

○ Objective Two: Of the patients working on motor planning and bilateral

coordination, 60% of them will be able to perform at least half of the

corresponding activities correctly

i. Activity: These are examples of activities that will be in the eggs and the

goals that are put with them in an evaluation.

● Hop forward __ consecutive times on preferred leg in ___ of

___trials, independently to demonstrate improved ability to

execute asymmetrical movements while maintaining

balance/postural control.

● Jump and land with both feet simultaneously within ___ of

___trials in ___ of ___sessions, independently to demonstrate the

ability to simultaneously use both sides of the body to perform

symmetrical movements.

● Jump forward ___inches with both feet together within ___ of ___

trials to demonstrate an ability to simultaneously use both sides of

the body to perform symmetrical movements.

○ Objective Three: Of the patients working on fine motor skills, 60% of them will

correctly draw or color at least have of the shapes or activities.


i. Activity: Inside the eggs, there will be a piece of paper labeled 1-15 that

has directions that correspond with a drawing or coloring activity on the

provided laminated activity sheet.

○ Objective Four: Of the patients working on fine motor skills and crossing midline,

60% of them will be able to complete the pom pom and tweezer activities.

i. Activity: These are examples of activities that will be in the eggs and the

goals that are put with them in an evaluation.

● Use one hand to retrieve and/or place __ objects on the opposite

side of the body without cue in ___ of ___trials to demonstrate

efficient crossing midline of the body for functional participation

in school activities.
