Prevention and Mitigation

• officials who monitors what's happening during disasters like earthquake and typhoon must conduct a
meeting

• conduct a study regarding DRRM in the barangay

• assist in the implementation of laws, programs, and activities to prevent the impact of dangerous
disasters that may be experienced in the barangay

• conduct a study on the vulnerability of the barangay

• take the lead in planting trees

2. Preparedness

• assist in preparatory work such as training before the threat of disasters arrives

• conduct simulation exercises or earthquake drills

• spread preparedness information to all the people in the barangay, especially those who live in
dangerous areas

3. Response

• help evacuate people from the dangerous area to the evacuation center

• make sure people are aware of impending danger in time so people can prepare

4. Rehabilitation

• help repair damaged public properties

• help in social services

• roam around to know the damaged properties and report it

2. Per sitio, there's a system that needs to be done to be ready. Before there's a calamity, the barangay
officials and people conducts an earthquake drill so that people will know what to do when there's an
earthquake. Drill doesn't only apply to earthquaked but also to other disasters.
3. By sitio, there are barangay officials assigned to monitor. Before the disaster, those who monitors
what's happening during a disaster conducts a meeting. After the calamity, they roam around to know
the damaged properties.

Sitio 6- flood
