Week 4 Reflections
Week 4 Reflections
Math:
- This class was simple class for students to finish up last week's pizza mystery
that they did not finish
- Those who finished were able to do extra math
- Everyone was on task and finishing up their work
Science:
- This lesson was a blast, as kids finally got to play with simple circuits and create
them in different ways.
- Challenging students to figure out how to make the lightbulb brighter…
- This really had them engaged for the whole class , with turning off the light to see
who got the light the brightest
Math:
- Today began the start of the input and output section of the pattern unit
- I am happy of the visual that i did for the students as it really helps them see how
the tables function and how the rule applies
- The worksheet am happy I had the rule on it as I know if they had to figure out
the rule it might have made students more confused
- This worksheet also only needed them to fill in a few blanks with other in the
tables filled in this I believe was super help full for students to have an example
to look at for each table
Science:
- Today we look at conductors and insulators which was fun activity that I could tell
kept the kid engaged
- This really got the student to test different objects to find out if it would conduct or
not
- I feel like though to maybe make this activity go smoother maybe I could have
shown them how to do a few them then they do it we come back I show some
more they do it. To keep a good time management and less confusion within the
class
Social:
- Another work class as it still takes them a while to get the information into their
own words then into how they are presenting
- Very interesting to see the small struggle of some students being able to but
things into their own words
- Did give a small tutorial and I think it really help students as the question of
powerpoint works definitely went down
Math:
- This class focused on a mystery to solve as this students enjoy a mystery activity
- I think I could maybe explained the purpose of the box at the front of the
worksheet but I maybe could have also got rid of it all together
- I am happy I had a more challenging version of this worksheet for those who
finish early as it keeps challenging them.
Art:
- We kept working on the grid drawing that they started last week, everyone was
able to fish by the end of class
- Students who finish early I was able to have extra crossword puzzles, and
coloring
