Frequency Distribution Table

Please do as instructed using the steps in constructing frequency distribution table using the
following data. ( please refer to the uploaded PPT for the aforementioned steps)

Solutions:
Step 1: Arrange the data in lowest to highest form
9 23 28 35 38 43 45 48
17 24 29 37 39 43 45 49
18 25 34 38 39 44 46 50
20 26 34 38 39 44 46 50
23 27 35 38 42 45 46 50
Step 2: Determine the range by getting the difference between the highest and the lowest
value in the set of data
Range (r) = HS – LS
R = 50 - 9
R = 41
Step 3: Determine the number of class intervals or desired number of cases
Class Interval = 8
Step 4: Determine the appropriate size of class interval
𝒓
i = 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒂𝒍
𝟒𝟏
i= 𝟖

i = 5.125
i=5
Step 5: Construct a frequency distribution table
