Recommendation for Anthony Giancatarino

To Whom It May Concern:

It is my sincere pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Anthony Giancatarino.

I have coached Anthony for the past four seasons as a member of the Lebanon Valley
College baseball team. I can say with the utmost confidence that he is one of the most
respected and best teammates with whom I have had the opportunity to work with.

Anthony is a mature man who takes a very mindful approach to his work, both on and off
the field. Anthony has always had the desire to be great, and is meticulous about honing
in his skills. He is always looking to improve, test new strategies, and take his game and
career to the next level. A growth mindset approach comes naturally to him, and will set
him on a great path forward.

Anthony is always willing to step up as a leader, both on and off the field. He has set a
great example for his teammates on how to balance the rigors of baseball, academics, and
student teaching. He is also true to himself, and is a genuinely authentic and caring
person. As a college baseball team, we play 40 games, and are together four hours a day,
for fifteen straight weeks. If you are not a pleasant person to be around, it does not work!
I can honestly say that Anthony is one of the best members of our clubhouse and a young
man I would trust with anything. He always elevates our conversations, drill work, and
the level of focus on the team. He truly elevates others around him.

Anthony exemplifies the maturity, responsibility, and empathy necessary for being a
leader, not only on our team, but in society. I know that he is ready to take on the rigors
of teaching, and will emerge as both a great practitioner, and a great member of your
community. From day one, meeting Anthony five years ago, he has never wavered in his
dream to teach. His face always lights up when discussing the classroom, and I cannot
wait to hear about the first class of his own. Anthony is an excellent candidate, and it is
with my highest confidence that I recommend him.
