Our Cabot Trail Cardigan is worked in one piece with a cluster lace stitch pattern worked
throughout. It’s the perfect transitional piece for moderate temperatures. It’s an oversized fit with
full length sleeves. The elegant lace stitch works up beautifully in a 2 row repeat. This feminine
cozy design is made in Sugar Bush Yarns Cabot.

 PATTERN
Instructions:
Cardigan is worked in one piece from the
bottom up. Chain is worked out from the
body for sleeves. Half width of sleeve is
worked then piece is separated into front right
and left. The rest of sleeve is worked then
front panels are completed. Sides and sleeves
are seamed. Finish by edging body and
working sleeve cuffs. Lace stitch pattern is
worked with 4.5mm hook. Band and edging is
worked with 3.75mm hook. Pattern is written
for smallest size with larger sizes in
parentheses ( ). If there is only 1 number, it
applies to all sizes. Step by step video

Use a blocking mat and pins. Dampen
garment and pin piece to measurements.
Allow to fully dry. See schematics for
measurements.
Seaming
Repeat for left and right side. Fold garment
RS facing lining up sides and sleeves. With
yarn needle and yarn, whip stitch sides and
sleeves together. When seaming make sure to
correctly line up lace stitch pattern. Weave in
ends. Steam seams to finish.
Rows 2-3: Ch 1, work 1 sc in each st across,
turn. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Sleeves
Repeat for left and right sleeve.
Round 1: With smaller hook and RS facing,
join yarn to seam with a sl st, ch 1, work 1 sc
evenly around sleeve opening ( 2 sts per large
ch sp) approx. 30 (34, 38, 42, 44, 48) sts, sl st
