‘Leave it to the beaver’, is about the adventures and life of a suburban boy, family

and friends. The Cleavers are a family in the 1950's. Parents Ward and June, and
older brother Wally, are constantly trying to keep Theodore ('the Beaver') out of
trouble. However, Beaver always ends up in one or more trouble. The structure of
the family in this sitcom is really common and what we still normally see nowadays.
Because of what the year this was made in, race didn’t really partake. There wasn’t
really a lot of inclusion in the show, since it was only once when one African-
American had a speaking role; which was in 1963; when an actress played a maid
in episode 212, "The Parking Attendants."

‘All in the family’ revolves around Archie Bunker, a working-class World War II
veteran, his wife Edith whom is a sweet and understanding person, and their
daughter Gloria and her husband Michael . It seems like if this show, despite being
“newer” than ‘Leave it to the beaver’, has a character less tolerant. Archie is an
outspoken man, seemingly prejudiced against everyone who is not a U.S.-born,
politically conservative, heterosexual White Anglo-Saxon Protestant male, and
dismissive of anyone not in agreement with his view of the world. Even though all
of that could possibly existed in the show only to leave some teachings to the
audience.
