Ø To show the method of how the extracting, stocking and loading of armor rocks to
barge/ carrier, base on the specific location and port of origin.
Ø To be able to determine the ideal and maximum volume over time in metric tons.

III. Factors
DELIVERY TO PORT/BARGE:
Distance from San Juan Port to MOA PASAY - 131 nautical miles
Travel Time : 26 hrs ( loaded) / 21 hrs ( empty ) = 47 hours roundtrip
Loading duration: 24 hrs unloading: 24 hrs
Ø NO. Of BARGE (4 (5,000DWT); 4 (3,500dwt) = 8units
Ø Daily Load per Barge : 1(4,700 metric tons) and 1( 3,100 metric tons)
Ø No. Of Trips per barge per week : 2 trips (8 units) = 16
Ø Total Volume per week : 8 (4,700 metric tons) 8 (3,100 mt) = 62,400 mt
Ø Total volume per month : 249,600 metric tons
VI. Time
NOTE:
There is already a stockpile( more or less 50,000 mt) in the quarry site that can be
transferred to stocking area once the permits are ready.
While transferring the extracted armour rocks to the stocking area, there will be an
extracting operation for continues delivery of armour rocks to the stocking area.
