Lesson Plan In Mathematics 3

I.Learning Objectives :
Cognitive - identify money.
Affective - give importance in saving money.
Psychomotor - solving world problems involving money and writing amount of money in symbols or
vice versa.

II.Learning Content :
Skill : mastering the different denominations of coins and bills.
Reference : Exploring Math Possibilities 3
Materials : video clip, printed sample money, power point presentation
Values : saving money, self-confidence, respect

III.Learning Experience :
A.Preparatory Activity
Drill – Prayer, Greetings, Classroom Management and checking of attendance.
Review – Ask the students about money.
Motivation – Let your students watch a video clip about the Philippine money

B.Developmental Activity
* Presentation
- from the video they seen, introduce to them the symbol use in writing Philippine money.
- let your students identify the different Philippine money.
- show your students the way of counting money/giving value to money and writing money from
words to numbers or vice versa. Also, show them how to compare money.
* Guided practice
Have a set of examples like counting money and let your students count.
*Generalization
-How important is saving money?
- What are the things money can buy ?

C.Application
Test I. Write the following amount of money in symbols (5 items)

V.Assignment
Print pictures of Philippines coin and bills and paste it on your notebook and use the new generation
of Philippine money and label it.
Coins – 5 centavos, 10 centavos, 25 centavos , 1 peso, 5 pesos, 10 pesos
Paper bill - Php 1000, Php 500, Php 200, Php 100, Php 50 , Php 20
