I use technology every day. I can see the daily news on the phone, chat with my
family and friends, do things related to the bank or the doctor, etc.

- Alicia: Hey! Welcome to the group. Can you tell us about your first
electronic device?
My first electronic device was the Play Station One. My father gave it to me
for Christmas in 1999. From there, I began to be interested in video games.
After that, I started using a PC that we had at home.
- Kate: I’m pretty addicted to social media. I use it every day! Which social
media sites do you usually use?
I think the social network I use the most is TikTok. I discovered it during the
pandemic and since then, I have been very addicted to it. Especially cooking
videos. I also usually use Youtube and Instagram.
- Connor: I heard that the club is going to start meeting once a week,
instead of once a month. What is your opinion on this?
In my opinion, I think there will be many people who cannot come, because
having time for the club once a month is easier than organizing your life to
meet once a week.

We are writing to inform you that the trip to the science centre to see the
robotics display has unfortunately been cancelled. Although many of you
were looking forward to this excursion, we did not reach the necessary
number of participants to continue. However, we hope to reschedule this

would like to hold your spot for the new date.

I’m very outraged, because the excursion was notified late, and it has not
been publicized, so many people didn’t know anything about it.
I was excited to go to the robotics display, I hope it will be solved soon.

To whom it may concern,
I am writing this email to explain my dissatisfactionindignation. I think that
not many people have signed up for the excursion because they have not
been notified in advance. Also, from what I see, everything has been done
wrong, and the club has not been interested in knowing why there are so few
participants.
Maybe some of them have not been able to come because they are
unemployed and cannot pay for the admission to the robotics display.
I think that we could put a deadline for club members to sign up and, if there
were not enough participants, the rest of us could bring friends and family
members ies (paying their tickets obviously).
I am sure my nephew, who is 12 years old, would be delighted to come.

SPEAKING PART 4 - I need a speaking practice (a recording)
You have 2 minutes to answer these questions:
- Do you have a large family?
My family, in general, is not very large. Unfortunately, we are fewer because
two of my grandparents died years ago.
Until four years ago, I lived with my parents and my sister. Now, my family
mainly consists of my fiancé and myself.
I have an aunt, two uncles and six cousins.
Of all the members of my family, the most important are my grandparents. I
would love for them to always be with me.
If I take into account the distant family (for example my grandfather’s sister
has nine children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren) we would be
a lot.
- How many brothers and sisters have you got?
I have a sister. Her name is Marta, and she is four years younger than me.
She is the complete opposite of me. She is impulsive, disobedient, capricious
and disorderly. She can be very rude with the people who love her, and, in
my opinion, she’s always on the defensive.

- Do you get on well with them?

We don’t get along too well…When we were little we were thick and thin.
We spent a lot of time together, she even went out with me and my friends.
Everything changed when she became a teenager. She began to hang out
with bad companies and take drugs. In fact, I left my home because my
relationship with her was terrible.

- What are the advantages and disadvantages of being an only child?
I don't know what the advantages of being an only child would be, but I do
know that, although our relationship is not the best, she is my sister and,
since I left home, we get along much better.
