As you are aware that IMP Powers Ltd. has well equipped Manufacturing Unit
at Silvassa, Dadra Nagar Haveli having state of the art manufacturing facility
spread over approximately 2Lac Sq. Ft. area to manufacture EHV Transformers
up to 400 kV Voltage Class, fully equipped with most modern Plant &
Machinery and all in-house testing arrangements to conduct Routine,
Acceptance & all Type Tests as per IS & IEC standards.

IMP’s in-house testing facility is accredited by NABL i.e. National

Accredited Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories since 2013 which is an
autonomous body under the aegis of Department of Science & Technology,
Government of India." “This is the highest accreditation for testing in the
country.”

EHV Power Transformer to attain maximum satisfaction of the clients at
their door step.

Erection Testing and Commissioning of Transformers

 Proper Erection and commissioning of EHV Transformers for long life and
trouble free operation
 Erection done as per IMP/International norms (IEEE 57.93)
 Firsthand experience in Erection, Testing & Commissioning of Transformers of
all ratings up to 400 kV class.
 IMP has a dedicated team of engineers engaged in erection, testing and
commissioning of transformers.

Repair of Transformers: Transformer is as good as new after repairs

 IMP has requisite facilities and resources for effective repairs.
 Repair is done at a fraction of cost of a new transformer.
 Transformer is remanufactured strictly adhering to well established processes
and quality norms of IMP.
 It is possible to re-design the transformer to include innovative features as required by
customers.
 Repair adequacy is verified and demonstrated through works testing in
conformance with the relevant product standards like IS 2026 / IEC 60076.

Overhauling of Transformers: Overhauling enhances the life of

transformer
 Washing of core coil assembly by clean oil & re-tightening of clamping
structure.
 Cleaning of core coil assembly (CCA) and removal of sludge to avoid
hotspots in the core & the windings.
 Removal of moisture from oil to prevent deterioration of the life of the
cellulosic insulation and monitoring the Degree of Polymerisation (DP) of
paper through Vapor Phase Drying.
 Improvement in the insulation parameters like PI & Tan Delta.
 Functional checking of supervisory devices like Buchholz relay, PRV, OSR,
MOG, OTI & WTI etc.
 Overhauling of OLTC / OCTC, Fans, Pumps, Heat Exchangers etc.

Annual Maintenance of EHV Power Transformers:

 Insulation Resistance Value check;
 To attend minor oil leakage,
 Checking of magnetic balance & Current, ratio, & other low voltage test,
 Inspection of HV & LV Porcelains & metal parts,
 Checking of OTI, WTI, PRV, Buchholz Relay, Oil Surge Relay, MOG, Radiators,
Contact Surfaces at HV &LV side,
 Taking out main Cover, Sludge Removing by oil jet, inspection of tap changer,
conservator, oil Filtration for improving B.D.V. & I.R. Values

Supply of Spares: Right part at the right time reduces the down time
 IMP is fully geared to supply spares of all rating and make of transformers
 Spares are procured and checked as per standard quality norms of IMP
 Spares are procured from approved sources
 Minimum cycle time through planning, foresight, focus and thrust.
