Charli then started making her own TikTok
videos and sharing them online, including her
first ‘viral’ success. She performed a duet with
@move with joy, a TikTok account dedicated to
honouring all body types and abilities in
dancing. This duet video then gained traction
on TikTok’s For You Page, which is a
personalised feed of curated films chosen by
TikTok for each user. Within days, tens of
thousands of people had started following her.
Her follower count continued to rise, and she
soon began to collect millions of followers,
reaching various milestones along the way.

Instagram was her first foray into the realm of

social media. She also frequently shares
flashback photos of herself and her sister. She
also began sharing images of herself, as well as
photos of her family, to her Instagram page.
Her most recent Instagram post was in July of
2016. Charli’s Instagram account has continued
to develop, with images showing her creating
her own dances, learning popular ones, and
even dancing with her older sister Dixie
D’Amelio. As Charli’s TikTok following
increased, she was able to use her platform to
not only showcase her exceptional dance skills,
but also to raise awareness about cyber
bullying and other vital issues.

She later joined the TikTok platform in mid-

2019. She began sharing lip-synch and dancing
videos with amazing performance on social
media. A duet with Move to Joy was the first
video that captured the attention of many
people and went viral on TikTok. In a relatively
short amount of time, she has risen to the top
of the Tiktok personalities list. She currently
has over 1.84k videos on her account, with
122.5 million followers and 9.74 billion likes.
And there’s no denying that she’s well-liked.

Similarly, on November 17th, 2019, she

attended her first-ever meet-and-greet. In
Norwalk, Connecticut, the meet and greet took
place at 48 Westport Avenue. She announced
that her second MistleTok Meet-Up took place
in late November. The event took place at the
Arch Street Teen Center in Greenwich,
Connecticut on December 14th and 15th.

Similarly, she rose to fame after posting a

dancing video for the song “Lottery
(Renegade).” She has collaborated with a
number of other renowned TikTok creators, like
Chase Hudson and Maximo Rivano, and has
been featured in collaborations on her
channels. She collaborated on a dance video
with Ondreaz and Tony Lopez in December
2019 set to the Don Toliver song “No Idea.”‘

She’s also a member of the TikTok web

community “Hype House,” which includes 18
other people including Dixie D’Amelio and
Addison Rae Easterling. She was invited to
present at the NBA All-Star game alongside
fellow Hype House members Addison Rae, her
sister Dixie, and Jalaiah Harmon, the inventor
of the “Renegade” dance. She performed at the
Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, in
November 2019. As part of the Jonas Brothers’
Happiness Begins tour, she performed as an
opening alongside Bebe Rexha. She signed a
deal with UTA in January 2020 to join TikTok’s
Hype House collective in Los Angeles. Daisy
Keech, Nikita Dragun, Thomas Petrou, Larri
Merritt, Kouvr Annon, Ondreaz Lopez , Tony
Lopez Ryland Storms , Alex Warren, Nick
Austin, Avani Gregg Addison Rae and Chase
Hudson are among the group’s other TikTok
stars.

She also had the opportunity to dance with her

hero Jennifer Lopez for a Super Bowl challenge
TikTok video in 2020, which she seized with
both hands. She teamed with actor Noah
Schnapp on YouTube on March 27, 2020.
Charlie, along with other celebrities, starred in
a Super Bowl commercial for Sabra Hummus in
February 2020. She was even invited to attend
Super Bowl LIV and meet Jennifer Lopez in
order to develop a TikTok dance challenge in
honour of Lopez’s halftime performance.

She performed a dance with fellow Hype House

members and Jalaiah Harmon at the 2020 NBA
All-Star Game. She even attended Prada’s
Milan Fashion Week event in February 2020 as
a front-row guest. Charlie and her sister
teamed together with UNICEF for an anti-
bullying campaign in March of 2020. The
D’Amelio sisters signed a podcast partnership
with Ramble Podcast Network in May 2020.
She even played Tinker in the 2019 animated
children’s film StarDog and TurboCat, which
will be released in the United States in June
2020, marking her debut part in a feature film.

Furthermore, she and her sister were named

the faces of Hollister’s “Jean Lab” campaign in
July 2020, and she even created a TikTok
dance to promote the campaign. In the same
month, she became an ambassador for
Invisalign braces, and she and her sister
launched Morphe 2, a makeup line, with
Morphe Cosmetics. In August 2020, the sisters
collaborated with Orosa Beauty on a nail polish
line named Coastal Craze.

She also created her own Youtube channel on

November 23, 2015, in addition to TikTok.
However, she began sharing videos after
becoming well-known on the Tiktok app. In just
five months, she has amassed 9.59 million
subscribers. On November 24, 2019, she
posted her debut video, titled “what occurred
during my meet & greet,” which received 3
million views in just two weeks. My Friends and I
Crashed the Santa Monica Pier with Jordan
Matter , My Surprise Room Makeover for my
16th Birthday! , Baking Halloween Treats with
my Best Friends ft Dixie, Chase, James, Noah &
Larray , We Took Over A Candy Store For The
Day , The Truth About My Nose Surgery , what
happened at my meet & greet are among the
most viewd videos from her channel.

She is also a director and actress, with credits

including StarDog and TurboCat, Charli
D’Amelio , and The Disney Family Singalong.
Hulu has ordered a new reality series based on
TikTok’s royal family — Charli, Dixie, Marc, and
Heidi D’Amelio — in the hopes of emulating the
success of EKeeping !’s Up with the
Kardashians. The D’Amelio Show is an eight-
part documentary series that follows the four
members of the D’Amelio family through their
daily lives. Expect TikTok dancing, TikTok
drama, meetings with Hollywood executives,
and the kinds of gaffs that worked for other
reality shows following famous families. It will
be released in 2021.

This is just another endeavour for the D’Amelio

family, who already have podcasts, a YouTube
channel, advertisements, television specials,
and more on the go. The D’Amelios, like the
Kardashians before them, see an opportunity to
build an empire out of their newfound celebrity.
Charli, for example, has over 100 million TikTok
followers, the most of anyone on the platform.
The D’Amelio Show, on the other hand, is a
necessary addition to Hulu’s lineup of reality
shows and documentary series, which the
streaming service is banking on. When Charli
D’Amelio joins her family on the small screen in
Hulu’s new reality series, The D’Amelio Show,
audiences will get to see a “another side” of
her.

Social Tourist, a new trend-forward apparel

standalone brand within the Abercrombie &
Fitch Co. portfolio, will be launched by Charli
and Dixie D’Amelio. The lifestyle company
creates trend-forward clothing that allows
teens to express themselves while delving into
the dichotomy of who the D’Amelios are online
and off. Social Tourist will only be sold in
Hollister stores and on the Hollister website.
Along with their father, Marc D’Amelio, the
sisters collaborated with Hollister on product
selection, design, branding, positioning, and
marketing.

Social Tourist grew into a family affair,

combining Marc’s extensive experience in the
garment industry with the girl’s unique
perspective as the face of Gen-Z social media.
The D’Amelios, who have over 250 million Tik
Tok followers, first worked with Hollister as
“Chief Jeanealogists,” testing and approving
every aspect of Hollister’s denim; launched the
#MoreHappyDenimDance TikTok challenge,
which has received over 5.4 billion views
worldwide; and released a series of limited-
edition, co-created collections. As a result,
collaborating with the Hollister team to bring
Social Tourist to reality was a natural fit.

When Charli and Dixie were little, they both

learnt about the apparel and clothing industry
by watching their father work in it. Charli and
Dixie would accompany Marc to his New York
office, where they would observe him in design
meetings, dealing with purchasers, and
finishing sales calls. “For hours, we would sit
and watch our father design clothing and put
things together in photoshop. I was simply
fascinated by it, and it was for this reason that I
intended to attend college. In high school, I
worked at a clothing store and like being
around clothes. So developing a brand has
always been a dream of mine,” Dixie explained.

Dual-gender goods, trend pieces such as

dresses and skirts, everyday essentials
containing premium basics, and swim will be
the four distinct garment lines offered by Social
Tourist. Limited-edition items will be included
in each collection, with new things arriving
every four weeks. “We’ve always loved fashion,
and it’s been incredible to be a part of it. We
believe that Social Tourist accurately depicts
both of us and investigates how our generation
reconciles who they are on social media with
who they are in real life,” Dixie added.

Abercrombie & Fitch Co.’s Social Tourist will be

one of the company’s first solo digitally-driven
brands. “We are ecstatic to welcome a new
brand into the Abercrombie & Fitch Co.
portfolio. Social Tourist expands on our
successful partnership with Charli and Dixie
D’Amelio, two of the most well-known social
influencers. The girls will work side-by-side
with our teams to produce a trend-forward
product that embodies the sisters’ unique
attitude and lifestyle, according to Fran
