He is Dr. Saurabh Kumar Agarwal , 55 years old, and by

profession, an Educator. Today, due to his many efforts,
the literacy rate in Bareilly has started getting strengthened.
This goal, to make education accessible and affordable to all,
without any bias, of religion, colour, caste, etc. makes him a
role model for many people, young and old.
During COVID-19, he has arranged and organized many
camps for blood donation,keeping in contact with local
hospitals, thus playing a crucial role in saving thousands of
lives. Not only this, he also provided Medical Aid, Food,
and Clothes, as well as also arranged Free Medical Check-up
Camps in different parts of society, especially for kids.

Born on 29th August 1967, at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh,

Dr. Saurabh has lived a very eventful life, where he has
experienced extreme poverty and riches. At the age of 17,
he found himself responsible of a sugarcane factory. As he
wanted to study further, so along with handling the family
business, he also kept on completing his education. He
earned his Master’s Degree in English from Bareilly College,
and completed his MBA from Indra Gandhi National Open
University. Recently, in year 2022, he was awarded with
Honorary Doctorate in Education from Boston Imperial
University (USA).

In 1990, he married his lovely wife and his life was filled
with happiness. But life had other plans, as the government
closed down the privately-owned sugarcane factories. He
started his journey again, when his father gave him 1Lakh
30 Thousand Rupees (`1,30,000) to build his life. With
this amount,he put all his hardwork and perseverance and
started his Jewellery Business - Trading, Delivering and later
becoming a Brand. He opened his own showroom ‘Chandana
Jewellers’ which is under his possession to this day.

With this quote in heart, Dr. Saurabh Agarwal became the
founder of a group of institution, built in 2004, the Only
School that has the recognition of the Royal Scindia Family,
in India and beyond. With honour and respect towards the
Previous Head , the school was named ‘Madhavrao Scindia
Public School’.

Dr. Saurabh Agarwal started this paragraph of his life by

opening a small school, and after all his hardwork, where
less than 150 students enrolled in the first year and 180 in
the second year. The year was a hard year for him, as he had
a lot of debt on his shoulders, but he persisted and rose up
to the challenge again and again and again, then finally life
said, “Fine! Have it your way!” and it showed in the 3rd year
, the school had a 300% profit with 450 students’ enrolment.
The year after that had almost double that number, with 850
students’ enrolment.

Today, After 19 years of its inception, it has cumulative

strength of 4000 students and every year, out of those 4000
students, 500 students do not have to spend a single penny
for their education. And for the last 10 years, regularly, many
District Toppers, Merit Holders, etc. have graduated from this
school. The school has won numerous awards and accolades
to its name.

As a common citizen, everyone wants to understand the impact of the Adani-
Hindenburg saga on India’s growth regime and whether the issue is blown out
of proportion out of a hidden agenda.

There have been many hues
and cries over the Adani
Group’s fallout in the political Arena
in India since the research report from
a US-based investment research firm-
Hindenburg, came out accusing the
Adani group of stock manipulation and
accounting fraud scheme over decades.
Opposition parties and so-called
experts in the global financial circuit
started raising looming concerns (read:
expected a bloodbath) on the Indian
financial market.
The Immediate Impact of the Blown-
out storm.
Although after the Hindenburg adverse
research report on the Adani group
came out, the net worth of the first-ever
Asian man, who cracked the top three
on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index,
Gautam Adani and its group share
prices nosedived. The mayhem did
take away a whopping 10 lakh crore
from the market value of the listed
companies of the Adani group. And he
was way out of the list of the top richest
persons.
Looming concerns such as the exposure
of Indian banks such as SBI, PNB,
BOB, & LIC in the Group may lead
to a rise in NPAs (non-performing
assets)—unprecedented loss of wealth
of general/retail Investors.
Speculations are doing rounds about
the negative impact of the Adani storm
on the global investment perception.
Unless a third-party audit now gives
positive feedback to India Inc, risks
are damaging the country’s status
as a favoured pick of global banks’
emerging markets desks.
The Real Picture: India’s Rock-solid
financial system
Unlike the much expectation of the
external forces, the Indian financial
market story remained intact. The
market sentiments didn’t witness
any change. The macroeconomic
fundamentals remain intact as there was
an increase in foreign reserves even
after the 24th of Jan fiasco. The debacle
didn’t affect the broader market index
as India has a well-capitalised stock
market and homes about 1.5 million
companies.
The propaganda that the Indian banking
system will collapse due to their
exposure in the Group didn’t last long
as, according to reports, the exposure of
the banking sector to the Adani Group
is less than 1% of total gross advances,
plus collaterals back all debts. Adani
group maintains a huge amount of cash-
generating assets- about 3 lakh crores
of real assets in the form of mines,
powerplants, airports, etc. to repay debt.
That means LIC and SBI are not “over-
exposed” to Adani Group.
Also, it’s crucial to note that most of the
Asset management companies in India
(mutual funds) do not invest in Adani
stocks due to its overvalued pricing, so
many retail investors were spared from
the groups’ falling share price storm.
The Adani group took up immediate
correction tactics. The Group refuted
the allegations in its official statement
and ensured the mayhem to be only
a short-term scenario. To instil more
confidence in the investors’ community,
the business house returned its fully
subscribed FPO money to subscribers
and saved them from facing any loss
due to the dropped share prices. The
promoters also repaid $1.114 billion
before time to release pledge shares
in group companies. Besides, given
the Group’s strong background & its
well-placed strength in infrastructure
capabilities (as in ports), the loss will
be taken up in coming years to a good
extent. These strategies worked well,
and the Adani stocks showed a sharp
rise uptick within two weeks of its fall.
Hence, the market sentiments remained
as is, and so was the “investors’
confidence”.
The Conspiracy to hurt India’s
reputation
The whole episode looks like a
calculated attack on India, its growth
story and its ambition to become a
global leader. A couple of developed
countries/financial organisations plants
such institutes (These firms make the
allegations without any admissible
proof), which in the name of research
make an unwarranted attack on any
specific company and break its financial
system. It was evident when a few days
later, the New York-based institute
Hindenburg which specialises in
activist short selling, admitted making
money from short-selling Adani stocks.

Word of caution for all, including
political parties, financial experts, and
market investors. Don’t jump guns.
Please wait for the regulators (RBI &
SEBI) to come out with their reports
and findings about the allegations.
